>>292 I know who she is. She tweets about him quite often and always shows up when we search his name. But she's always praising him and his work, which makes the alleged censoring even more odd. I bet she wrote the comment as a new tweet instead of using the reply function. It happens to me all the time. I reply to someone's tweet but for some reason it doesn't go through and then I just copy/paste the whole thing (including the tags) into a new tweet.
It was really childish of her to unfollow him.

Right. Sorry about that. :)
Do you know what's happening on that other Tom Hiddleston forum at Lipstick Alley? It seems to be inactive for a while. It says there's a new thread but I can'd find it. Maybe his people are really trying to control his image on the internet and shutting down the hot spots.

I'm not exactly new here. I'm a long time lurker. And I think you're hot. :) You're all very sane people comparing to the nuts over there at LSA who are always at each other's throats. They spend more time talking about themselves then discussing Tom Hiddleston's work.

Don't ask me how I know this but principle photography on Thor has been postponed until July.

Here's a new interview; he's mostly re-quoting himself and the interviewer needs to learn some restraint. She practically threw her panties across the (messy) room.

I'm worried about Thor III simply because the director Waititi hasn't ever done a large movie like this and the concept of it as an interstellar 'buddy movie' with more of a comic bend makes my movie-panties dry like the Sahara. I understand that comedy is in Hemsworth's very limited wheelhouse, but come on!

331 Name: Anon : 2016-05-15 15:19 ID:NAvnUPQi

Well, I finally went to ISTL today, despite the fact that the sun was shining. Fan guilt!

Due to a paucity of screenings anywhere, I ended up at a lunchtime screening at the Westfield (giant shopping mall in West London, for the uninitiated). This actually proved quite useful as there was a tapas bar right by the entrance, which helpfully sold me a giant glass of white Rioja to get me through the entertainment.

I thought for the entirety of the trailers it was just going to be me and my flasher raincoat, but at the last possible second another woman walked in. We didn't make eye contact and at the end we both scuttled out clutching our handbags and looking ashamed for not having gone to see Captain America: Civil War.

I have to say, it wasn't as dreadful as I thought it was going to be. It felt like a sweet well meaning little tv movie. I enjoyed the concert scenes a lot and TH's "sangin" sounded a whole lot better than in any interview (helped I guess by a lot of practice at the time and possibly a touch of improvement in the editing suite, who knows). And the cinematography and costumes were great.

The rest, as Anon. and whatsinaname have said, was a load of unconnected scenes cut together by a person who had never edited a movie before. I spent a lot of time going "who's that? what happened to the other guy? Hank's been screwing around and drinking a lot? But you just got married 5 minutes ago and we've only seen him screwing you!" My particular favourite was the 10 second pregnancy: cut from Audrey giving the happy news to Hank sitting in a bar with a load of guys whose names we haven't been told, learning that Audrey is about to give birth. The "hanging out with people we know nothing about" seemed to happen a LOT in this movie.

This wasn't helped by TH's accent which I found quite hard to understand in parts. Ah well. I felt how much they wanted to make it good and it seemed a shame that it wasn't.

>>331 After that great opening scene (what did you think of that, Anon?) the rest of the movie was a jumble. The Luke the Drifter scenes barely had any context within the rest of the movie. I was in a theatre with only 8 other people on opening weekend. It was doomed.

>>330 That article was refreshing. Since TNM hasn't pulled the ratings like it did in the UK I expected a constructively critical essay to pop up. He really needs to step out of his comfort zone or he'll always be known in the film industry as a lightweight who couldn't make the leap.

333 Name: Anon : 2016-05-15 21:25 ID:NAvnUPQi

>>332 I loved the first scene. The best in the whole film. Though all the live music scenes were great.

By the way, I did have a chuckle at one thing in the awards chatter interview. Do you remember ages and ages ago at the Nuffield talk, he talked about how at RADA they make you practice your weak skills over and over, but refused to say what his had been? I speculated it must have been singing and that 2 months after he finished filming ISTL he felt too sensitive about his performance to admit it? Well in this interview he confessed that it was - singing!

334 Name: Whatsinaname : 2016-05-15 23:26 ID:tFWZ1nis

>>333 Yes! I caught that. Finally, an admission. Shoulda just owned it from the beginning and used the experience as an "I overcame it" anecdote.

335 Name: N8Anon : 2016-05-16 07:12 ID:W7eXmTxk

>>331 I did almost exactly this Anon - I went to Westfield on Saturday morning, I was the only person in a dark cinema (I think they thought no-one was going to bother turning up) until just before the opening credits, then two other people came in and screen came on!

I thought that the film was a mess structurally, but that TH's performance, particularly in the musical scenes, was brilliant. EO was good too, really grating as Audrey. I just couldn't get into any rhythm to care about the characters enough, the introduction of some later characters was messy and they were hugely underdeveloped and underused.

However, I'd have paid my money just to see that opening sequence with him on the stool on the stage. I loved that.

Yikes, you'd think someone was out to get him, these articles are harsh.

If there is truth to the news that Daniel Craig is done with Bond, I'd say this is the start of a fierce slinging match for the position. Cue the homewrecker and gay rumors

343 Name: Whatsinaname : 2016-05-20 01:45 ID:tFWZ1nis

Here's your home wrecker Timor. There's a National Enquirer (US) article saying Taylor Swift left her DJ boyfriend to go with Tom. I have no link; someone took a photo of the page and threw it up onto tumblr.

344 Name: Whatsinaname : 2016-05-20 01:46 ID:tFWZ1nis

"Timor" was supposedly to be 'rumor.'

>>343 I'm glad you cleared that up, I really racked my brains about Timor. TH has been playing it smart for so long now I doubt any real dirt will kick up.

http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/lostinshowbiz/2016/may/20/idris-elba-must-be-james-bond-tom-hiddleston-daniel-craig

The Guardian UK is not his friend, in fact they hate him.
'I may consider chaining myself to the gates of Pinewood Studios if the role of Bond does not go to Idris Elba, who is obviously far more suited to its requirements than Hiddleston, whose serial willingness to discuss his craft tends toward the excruciating.'

They have a point there but I do think after Craig's surliness they'd welcome TH's proven endless enthusiasm for promotion

346 Name: Anon : 2016-05-20 10:55 ID:XNHjS3rF

>>343 I think the NE is behind the curve - she made sure she was papped with her dj boyfriend a couple of days after the Met Gala and also made sure to Instagram her private after after party at which Tom was not present. I take that as her way of scotching the rumours (or Timors!).

>>345 The Guardian has a surprisingly large number of pointless bitchy opinion pieces (probably because they don't cost much). Still a bit of a nerve given how many decent length exclusive interviews he has given them over the years.

347 Name: Anon : 2016-05-20 11:19 ID:XNHjS3rF

By the way, I know the Enquirer is a rag, but I did think it interesting that throughout the press the THEO rumours seem to have died a death as suddenly as they appeared. It's just an impression, but journos seem not to be writing "TH and rumoured girlfriend EO..." even though he has been in the press a lot as possible next Bond.

I sometimes think that even if a lot of it is exaggerated, there is often a core of accuracy if you look at the general way the wind is blowing. The London professions are pretty small (with a LOT of Old Etonians) and I reckon most entertainment journos have a pretty shrewd idea of whether a rumour has some truth. After the TIFF "denial" the stories kept proliferating, and they were right because she did go to Hawaii. I wonder if it's dropped off the radar because it's finally died a death? She's still in LA by the way:

>>347 We'll never know if it ever was a meaningful relationship or just a casual hookup but it certainly appears to be dead and dusted. I agree rumors that persistent and prevalent are rarely complete falsities.
EO is currently referred to as an ex, if mentioned at all and TH has made a concerted effort to be seen flirting with the laydeez.
If I was in a long distance relationship and we were both on a hiatus from work, you can guarantee there'd be a dick storm. This is no time to play coy!

>>348 Yes, isn't the point about having a FWB that when you both have a week off work you hang out together and bonk each other senseless?

Of course we never saw him with the JArthy and then she popped up in BB. However given that they both live close to each other in London it would have impossible to even guess how much time they actually spent together. If TH is jogging in London and she is shopping in LA no hooking up is going on. Maybe they're texting a lot (looking at you, US Weekly!).

>>354 Why stop at a threesome? JArthy's still around the corner and Swifty's dumped her bf and probably bought the house across the road and let's not forget the drunk slapper who was swung like a pendulum at BAFTA. I'm certain he's organised an orgy. Involving a lot of really bad dancing. And Shakespeare. They will role play every Bond film.

But seriously, EO seems incapable of tying her shoelaces alone, she's a companion plant.

358 Name: Anon2 : 2016-05-21 16:13 ID:fRD6x4H9

That Instagram picture is not innocent. They know Tom's fans check that account. EO and her people are trying to bring back the already forgotten romance with Tom Hidleston. She's irrelevant and no one talks about her (apart from some planted photos of her doing some shopping or walking out of a SPA) but Tom has been all over the news for months. He's everywhere, especially with the Taylor Swift and Bond rumours. EO is chasing Tom Hiddleston and I'm sure she's already called him telling him she'll be in London for some days and would love to have dinner with him. Poor Toom is a gentleman and won't be able to say no.

While THEO shippers will probably declare he's been waiting around for EO to arrive before heading to Bora France I personally can't wait for one of them to publicly parade a significant other so we can all move on. Sooner than later please

>>365 Hawaii, Vietnam and the Gold Coast. You're right - who needs another tropical island vacation? Especially since the SI shoot looked like it involved plenty of fun vacation-type activities (unlike CP - a gloomfest in Toronto in winter). And he'll be away for a long time for Thor 3 - till Christmas? I can imagine that another 2 weeks living out of a suitcase might not feel like much of a rest.

I confess that I've been lurking for some time. It's my sisters's fault tough. She's the one who discovered this site. But I swear that none of us is on tumblr.

TH having lunch with 'mystery woman' who (dare I say it) looks a lot like the JArthy with a nose job on the verge of tears. I do hope she's back (or never left) and I can't tell you how relieved I am it's not EO. Good to change it up a bit there TH, even if you are recycling

You know what, I think you might be right about it being the JArthy.

There is a better shot of her here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3604742/Tom-Hiddleston-dresses-casual-lunch-mystery-brunette-tipped-007-Daniel-Craig-quits.html

And here are some old pics of her. Compare the top left semi profile with the large pic of her in the DM taken from the same angle: http://tommyemma.tumblr.com/post/87702090302/isnt-that-jane-arthy

I think it is her - and no nose job! There aren't many pics of her full stop and most are full face so it's no surprise she looks a bit different viewed from the side.

>>370 Good sleuthing! And snap!
Recognised by her bag again. She's even wearing the same 'hairstyle' as pursegate and recreating one of the poses.

>>372 The tip of her nose has vanished- that bit that hangs underneath and it's pinching weirdly around her forehead (may be botox related).

Well this is exciting, let the melt down begin!!! 👯

>>374 I hope Anon. is checking in between wedding prep to see the return of the Blessed JArthy. If you are, Anon., all those Hail Marys paid off! The JArthy is back!

Not to want to rain on anybody's gossip parade, but I wonder if this was a chance meeting. JArthy lives locally to the coffee shop and she has a laptop with her, which seems an odd think to take to a planned lunch. She may have gone there to work and met up with him by chance.

>>375 I think you may be right, blessed as this may be. It looked to be the tense and teary lunch of ex lovers rather than complacent idiot grinning freshly fucked lunch.
She has also made no effort to wash her hair or put on a face which is the least I would do (unless we rolled out of bed together)

I'm not 100% convinced. There's a pic of JA on Edith Bowman's instagram a few weeks ago and this looks a little different. She looks like an actress who I cannot remember the name of.

The return of JArthy rumors?! Those conspiracy theorists who think she and Tom are secretly married are going to be thrilled.

>>375 >>376 Now that I've seen all the pictures I'm inclined to agree with you both. They hugged after the meal (empty glasses on the table) and then left separately, maybe not even at the same time - there's no way to be sure from the photos how much time lapsed between the departure of her with her laptop and Tom with his tiny coffee cup, unless I missed something.

>>380 The last time I checked (months ago) there were still a few "he's still keeping her hidden from public" conspiracy theorists left.

I actually feel relieved it's her, tense though the meeting may have been. (The prayers paid off, huh?)

The only marriage rumours I heard were about SF. The Guardian published an article really early on in his career saying he was married. They then issued a correction. I always wondered if (like other newspaper stories) there was a grain of truth and that they were engaged or something. The journo must have got the idea from somewhere and there wasn't much info about him out there at that time.

It's clearly Jane Arthy. I don't have an opinion on her but I'm glad he's not with that dumb and annoying Olsen sister.

JArthy has the same ability as TH to either look atrocious or gorgeous in photos

For all those fans claiming she trolled them with wedding bait, she was bridesmaid at her best friends wedding. Methinks they have a rather inflated opinion of their importance in her life

389 Name: Anon : 2016-05-25 07:58 ID:NAvnUPQi

>>388 I reckon most people have this ability. There are some dreadful photos of me out there and some really nice ones.

I am not sure TH looks atrocious in many/any photos though! I never cease to be amazed how good he looks at any time and from any angle.

>>389 Sometimes his fivehead (or sixhead if you add the hair) is rather confronting. I frequently wonder what exactly it is I find attractive and then he dazzles with another corker. He is a bewildering crush and I can only surmise that it's this enigmatic quality I find attractive

>>390 Agreed - his hair does not flatter when it is swept back from the forehead, sticking up like Beaker and full of product. Or when it is cut very short. It looked great in TNM in the Devon scenes when it was longer and fluffier, and he really didn't look like he was receding more than any man of 35.

392 Name: Anonon : 2016-05-25 09:06 ID:2YT92hst

I also loved the HR longer hair that fopped over his forehead. It was so lovely to see movement in his follicles!
There's all kinds of clever hair products like Toppik that most hair stylists and balding men use (it's a bit of a disaster in rain though). I think some days he uses it, and others he clearly doesn't. He has worn fringe hairpieces/ wigs on several of his films- CP, Avengers, TDW, OLLA. You'd be surprised how many celebrities cheat with lace fringes. Perhaps they did in TNM? Otherwise it's a 'growth' treatment or shave it clean off. He probably has a few more years before he has to make a drastic decision.

Josie Rourke has just tweeted that there is mega Donmar Warehouse news coming up at midday today. Maybe some more theatre Tom in the offing?

>>392 I really don't think it looks much worse than it did in The Deep Blue Sea - he had it swept back in that and you could see he had receded. I think a lot of it has to do with wearing it unflatteringly short.

She's intelligent, beautiful, a humanitarian and in the media so it's kindof a shame, she sounds ideal in my matchmaking mind.
