Except being otherkin isn't necessarily a mental condition and there are plenty of psychologists who have seen no problem with it in most cases. Same with being a furry. I'm educated on it and I'm not either of those things. I don't know what your excuse for your ignorance is but it doesn't give you an excuse for being an asshole.
