I wonder how many people who constantly bitch that pop music these days sucks ass compared to the 1980s understand the reasons behind that. Mainly, '80s music only seems generally superior because the only songs from that time that get airplay today are all members of the tiny subset that has withstood the test of time and remains popular over 22 years after it came out.
