This is nothing new, BAFTA 2015 I think, but I haven't seen this photo before and it made me chuckle a bit - TH's duckface! Bonus - googly eyed Luke in the background, as usual.
somehow he doesn't look as involved as he generally is.
Anyway, this might be the director version of "make light of the EO incident" (still joking)
In case someone comes a says EO was in Oz this week, no she was in LA, groceries shop

Article about Kong celebs in the mall, believe it or not they even managed to get it wrong, since there's no post of TH about it on his fb page.
Good morning. This is why I check twitter, even on a holiday weekend!
Some HD stills from HR:

The only one that counts...or ever will count:

>>368 You beat me to it, Anon(.), by 3 minutes. ;)
And, as a reminder, THIS >>368 , went off to Bora Bora with Our Mother of Thirst.
Oh, Blessed JArthy, in the words of Adele...You could have had it AAAAALLLLLLLL.
>>370 bites lower lip I wonder if there was manscaping involved before the shot, or if each hair was perfectly placed by the heavens...
I am tired of my job. I want a job as the magazine placement person.
in the meantime, HR will eb released on Amazon Video before it gets released in theatre n the US so no Oscar run for this film.
http://www.magpictures.com/profile.aspx?id=0064c44a-a6d1-4fa1-b0a4-13d7f57d2606
>>372 you aim low, I want the job of the person who had to do the make for the body.
But I swear that if during promotion he says he did for equality I might just kill him.
He has no hips
>>368 I apologize. I should have labeled this NSFW, and NSFBP (blood pressure) and NSFP (panties).
>>371 I'm sure the 'body hair experts' - those of 'he definitely shaved his pits and chest for Corio.' fame - are currently comparing ALL evidence and will be releasing their manifesto (crazy theories) on Tumblr very soon.
>>375 I have very little leg and thus very little leg-spread, so those skinny hips will fit perfectly. (My boy is in the room as I type this - confession, here I come.)
I have snuck out of an all day meeting to check the board - hence different id.
He is delicious. How delightful to be so beautiful that when you take your clothes off you may be sure you will dazzle everyone with your perfection.
>>374 He has the book to fall back upon as this scene was actually in the novel. And since it was 'nude sunbathing' in the book, he can even blush and claim restraint.
My RAM memory always runs short on weekends, but did we ever call him out properly on this board for that 'equality via nudity' rubbish?
Too right we did. We moaned at length about the "female centric" but in fact totally male fantasy apex scene in CP (no frontal from him, alleged virgin rides astride, no cunnilingus etc).
New ISTL pic. My appraisal: not enough treasure trail - not nearly enough!!!
>>379 Oh, I remember that we raked the love scene over the coals - because it was - what's the word - shite.
But I think Couch just now might be the first to say his 'I did it for equality!' answer as to why he did the nudity was as shite and unrealistic as the love scene itself! We got so wrapped up in the crap love scene that we forgot about his crap answer for why he showed his down-low cheeks.
>>381 I think she did the takedown back then too!
Seriously, he is a bit daft with the old "I support feminism" thing. He spent ages droning on about this at Nuffield I am told. My friend who went and reported back said rather waspishly that it was unforgivably dull because totally uninformative. Is any male celebrity really going to say no, I support oppresssion of women, sex trafficking and FGM? The real question is not whether they express support for feminism, but whether they actually do anything about that other than wear a t shirt.
PS In his Guinea field diary he confessed he had never heard of FGM prior to the trip. For a then 32 year old, Cambridge educated, Guardian reading man, I found this shockingly ignorant.
Good god! I come back after a weekend away and oh my gawd oh my gawd...he is a thing of beauty right there! Thank you Ben Wheatley. Thank you!
Frankly I didn't think Crimson Peak itself was very feminist. It peeved me that they had two strong female characters but they pitted them against one another and over the love of a man who wants to be good in the end but the woman kills him. I see this kind of "feminism" in young adult books a lot and it bothers me that when a female character is strong, she's put up against another female and it's usually over winning the love of the guy or because they both love the same guy.
You want to tell a story about a deranged abused pair of siblings who are murderous and who make a prey out of unsuspecting young women? Okay go ahead. But don't call it feminist friendly just because the female lead is clothed in the sex scene and gets to be on top. I didn't like Crimson Peak at all and this one of the many reasons why. I hate this kind of superficial "feminism". It's like the fluff kind of feminism that people do so men don't get offended because you don't show how it's the patriarchal control that's created the misogyny in our world.
>>383 Agreed - CP totally failed the Bechdel test (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bechdel_test)
>>381 >>382 Couch will trust you on that because all Couch remembers of Sept/Oct is: find link/post link - but in writing that Couch was surely making fun, like yesterday.
>>382 you sure it was the Guines field diary and not some interview? Because I remember just a mention of FGM in that diary and it was about some sign they found on the road.
>>386 Couch still had time to post feminist critique of crap love scene between the links. PS still enjoyed seeing his bottom though!
It was in an earlier edition of the field diary. He met an old guy who was campaigning against it and said he was "profoundly shocked to hear there is such a practice"
http://blogs.unicef.org.uk/2013/01/27/tom-hiddlestons-guinea-field-diary-day-3/
>>387 multitasking person that I am. PS the bottom was the best part of course.
Thanks, and yes strange he wouldn't have known of it.
>>385 I had forgotten about the Bechdel test! I remember it being dismissed by a fair few mainstream critics because it was 'championed' by a lesbian - and a cartoonist at that.
Hmmmmm, I wonder how many of TH's movies would pass?
Or how many of Miss "He for She"'s movies?
>>387 In fairness, I think most unsavory aspects of life would shock him. He's very worldly in some ways (education/travel), and very sheltered/inexperienced in others (the nitty and gritty of life). Just look at his twitter experience - most people would have been more guarded, less trusting, knowing that not all people are inherently good-intentioned. Not TH, he happily opened himself up like a tin of baked beans for all to see.
It's part of his charm, but it's also gotten him into trouble. But he is learning; he's certainly more guarded and thoughtful now.
And, in his defense, I must admit that I only learned about FGM from a Law and Order episode when I was about 15/16. It wasn't something that came up in my AP Euro History course!
Australian Open tennis has just started ... finals weekend in 2 weeks. Wonder if JVR will give Tom the day (or two) off...
>>391 Yes, but the point is you did learn about it because it is not infrequently discussed in the media, whether in a tv show or in factual articles. There isn't a mainstream newspaper in the UK that hasn't run an article about it, and the Guardian, his favoured paper, has run several in recent years. It is also regularly raised as a major issue by several charities and women's pressure groups.
Maybe all this passed him by - nobody knows everything. But I'd expect someone who is smart and well-read AND claims to be a feminist to have learned about it without a charity-funded trip abroad. It makes me question how informed he is about other women's issues.
This seems recent
"empiremagazine#TomHiddleston tells us what #Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has in store for #ChrisHemsworth's 'comic gift'."
https://www.instagram.com/p/BAuR9Kev8Ke/
>>392 Oh, hell no!
If he shows up with EO, I will completely Lex-out! I will. That jumped-up FWB better not try to out-Wimbledon my Queen of Wimbledon.
Somethings are sacred: Thou shalt have no FWB before Ave JArthy!
>>393 I think a lot passes him by, especially gender-centered issues like these. He does live in a bubble of sorts.
I reckon he's the sort of man that would look at a tampon in the same way he would look at a space alien.
>>394 Nice, Couch! Well the shirt only made its first appearance in September, so it would be after that. It seems he's promoting HR, so maybe it's media work he did in the new year while in London - all guesses.
Comic gift. Yeah, okay, TH. Lord know CH hasn't got a gift for most other acting genres. If you think about it, CH is a movie star because of Thor, so essentially he's a movie star because he's tall, blonde and able to acquire muscle mass quickly and efficiently.
>>395 JArthy was so extreme. Remember that fan video where Tom was buying postcards and she turned to the girl with the camera phone and was like "ARE YOU FILMING ME?!" and then dramatically covered her face with a giant hot pink scarf? Sigh... those were the days.
>>398 Anotjer scarf face lady! I had forgotten. I do think it is really off to film somebody when they are in a shop. I half expected that vid to end with the Jarthy leaping snarling onto the filmer!
If EO shows up in Australia, I will laugh so hard!
I loved that JArthy video! And the brazen fan goes "yes yes I am" LOL! Tom and his FWBs. I wonder if he picks them BECAUSE they have large scarves they can hide their faces behind. Nothing gets Gom hot and bothered like a large scarf.
"Oh darling is that large scarf yours? Put it over your face for me. No no just cover your whole face with it. Now wail my name. Oh yes that's perfect darling. Oh you're perfect!"
Gom? Lol Tom*
>>396 If you showed him a tampon he would clutch his pearls and faint.
I think he is naive in many ways. At Nuffield he was apparently spouting a load of utter crap about access to the arts and saying it was easier to get into the arts from a poor background than my line of business (law). Actually the Social Mobility Foundation's latest report on access to the professions said that the law was by far the most open of the professions in the UK. He does tend to rush in where angels fear to tread.
WHAT? Was there a Scarf-Face before PurseGate? And that Scarf-Face was JA?
No, I don't believe it. I don't! Everyone must have misheard JA and misinterpreted her actions. She probably said, 'Are you filming me, because if so, I fucking want a copy of that shit for my TH scrapbook!' Then, rather than cover her face, she probably made the universal sign for giving a blowjob and then pointed at TH.
>>404 Is there a universal sign for giving a blow job? Now I feel naive!
>>404 I went on YouTube looking for it for you. Couldn't find it, but I did find this: http://youtu.be/jHgNglzNGpY
>>405 Girl, get with the program! I knew this BEFORE I knew what FGM was...thanks, American education system!
>>408 I have never seen any British person anywhere do that ever.
>>406 Oh, sweet Jesus! Even Hitler is stunned by the all-powerful, all-consuming Ave JArthy.
Truly, she was a treasure. Gone but not forgotten. (Bow your heads and observe a minute of silence.)
>>409 Hmmm. I did it a few times when I was over there and no one questioned what I was doing. What the hell?!? What did they think I was doing?
Do the British have blowjobs? Maybe it's just an American thing? (Joking.)
>>411 It's obvious what it is intended to be. But I have never seen any British person mime giving a blow job. Well, you learn something new every day.
>>413 Use it during your next all-day mtg. You KNOW you want to.
>>414 I cannot tell you how tempting that idea is. Would also work in court as it would not be recorded on the tape! Long ago there was a Court of Appeal judge who, if he disliked a submission, would hold his nose and mime pulling the chain of an old fashioned toilet cistern. Now I can update that!
Interview with Corey Hawkins, this was 2 weeks ago, here's the bit about Skull.
"Okay. Have you met King Kong, and if so, what is he like?
[Laughs.] I can’t! I can’t say anything about that. I mean, I will say that it’s different from anything you’ve seen, and it’s such a good cast. It’s such an unbelievably good cast! I mean, when you think about it… Sam Jackson, John C. Reilly, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston, Jason Mitchell, Jon Ortiz, it just goes on and on and on.
All I’ll say is that this movie is going to be something that I think a lot of people… it’s going to be special. It’s just going to be special and it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be exciting. It’s going to take you back to sort of old filmmaking era, you know? That’s what it feels like making this movie. I mean we’re shooting at all these different locations. We’re stealing a little shooting right now. It’s going to be a wild, wild ride, and I love my character. I love my character."
>>416 Could it be good? Could it really be good? Could Shit Island turn into I Actually Enjoyed That Movie Island?
Mind you, they can always save it - and ensure box office success - with a single line from TH's character: I'm going to have to find this magical youth potion naked.
It seems as if John Goodman has a small part; he was only spotted in HI and seemed to only be there for a few weeks.
And what about Toby Kebbell? He was announced in trade papers as being part of the cast and it's on his IMDB, but neither hide nor hair of him. Maybe he'll show up in Vietnam.
An article on 'Brilliant and Average Biopic Casting.'
I won't spoil the surprise as to what TH as Hank Williams scored.
Thor 3 = Midnight Run, so says Mark Ruffalo. Will be shot in Sydney.
http://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/mark-ruffalo-thor-ragnarok-midnight-run-across-universe/
So no script, but at least a storyline.
>>418 They have some staff writer at the Radio Times whose panties are permanently wet for TH but who has a media outlet for her crazy fan ramblings. I think this is she...!
Skull: article in Vietnamese that gives dates about when they will wrap up in Australia and start filming in Vietnam
http://thanhnien.vn/van-hoa/phim-kong-skull-island-khoi-quay-tai-ninh-binh-vao-272-659938.html
The short version, if you don't feel like using google translate is:
"Looks like "Skull Island" will wrap Australia around Feb. 18th/19th to head to Hanoi for the last month of filming. "
https://twitter. com/reeltourshawaii/status/689893171036291073
""Kong: Skull Island" prep is working hard to get things ready for filming to begin in Vietnam on Feb. 27th."

"Kong films in Vietnam 2/27 - 3/15"
https://twitter. com/reeltourshawaii/status/689883418386034688
There's also an article in English with less details about dates
http://www.thanhniennews.com/arts-culture/king-kong-prequel-to-start-filming-in-vietnam-this-february-58410.html
This is longer than expected and makes the promotion for TH a bit difficult.
>>417 I hope so for them, moving production to so many locations for so much time is probably costing a fortune. The budget for advertising and promoting this film will make the total amount even higher, so they'll need a huge box office success to just break even.
>>423 Another source said filming would be until the end of March. Either way, one would assume that TH - as a key character - will be filming right up until the end of production or very close to it.
Remember when Sony said they were pushing back the release date for ISTL because TH couldn't promote it in Nov., i.d., it got arse fucked by critics? Well, that cover's blown as It sounds like he'll only have a week or so for US promotion in March - if it happens at all.
I wonder if they'll do additional promo for the supposed re-release in Nov.
With schedules shaping up, I'm putting my 100 virtual bucks on an EO Oz appearance in the first two weeks of February!
>>425 yes! I remember us discussing this at the time. Isn't it also going up against quite a few big releases in March? I still think they should have let it be a charming imperfect little word of mouth movie. Unfortunately it was marketed with a lot of words from Somebody's rather big mouth. "I put my soul into this movie." No. Be quiet.
>>426 I suppose it depends on how much rehearsal she has for her new project and how much publicity she needs to do for the latest Avengers snooze-fest. I have little idea about how much time these things actually occupy. It is an article of the TH nanny faith that he is always incredibly busy, and that when we don't see him for months he is giving interviews or doing endless photo shoots or researching his next project. I have a sneaking suspicion that actors do a lot less between projects than people think and that there is quite a lot of mooching around not doing very much. So we may see EO visiting Oz for a birthday shag...!
>>426>>428 I'll join that wager. I think EO will visit TH in Oz and I'm hoping we get a tweet AND a pic of it. Preferably of the two together cozying it up so we can sit and watch as people dissect their body language and present theories about "platonic friends kiss on the mouth with tongue all the time with their arms tightly wound around each other!"
>>429 Oh this is curious, according to this girl twitter she lives in LA, so either she is on vacation in Oz or TH is in LA.
>>429 never mind, as usual I missed the #tbt tag. I'll never learn.
>>433 No you are not being silly. Guessing by the outfit and the very straight blow dry this was taken in Pasadena. So the "#tbt I met TH but I was too cool to post this pic at the time" pose lasted about 2 weeks!
>>427 Lesson for TH: 'Soul' does not equal decent dialogue or script.
>>436 I'm starting to think he had his hair straightened. In the mall pics from Oz, it is straight again. Would he have thrown on a wrinkled shirt, cargo shorts and vans, but blown his hair out? Are they blowing it out everyday while filming?
>>435 I'm thinking they've probably given up on pushing ISTL on the international front. Hank W. is niche enough in the US. In the UK - Hank who?
Even with the TH fanbase - which always overestimates its own numbers - I would expect a very limited UK release.
>>434 Coach, even if there's a sighting, pic, sex tape - I'll still give you all the virtual bucks!
>>438 I still don't know! He wore it long and straight at Henry IV time - in some obviously home made straight but not very good blow drys. This was in the days before he was really into manscaping so I doubt he had it straightened then. It may be easier to make it straight when it is a bit longer, as now.
Looking again at the Pasadena pics. Not my favourite look. His hair looks like straw. He looks much younger and happier when riding his angry bird!
>>441 I think the HC look was the remnants of the straightening he had for Avengers. He did confirm that it was a chemical process for Avengers in an interview.
Going to try to find it.
Not sure what sort of 'sources' geek.com has - could just be the office Magic 8 ball, but they've got some 'exclusives' on Thor 3.

>>440 thanks! There's a lot already happening next week, fashion week in Paris for EO, Australian Open men's single final for TH.
>>446 Looks like TH wasn't running - he is wearing Vans I think. And a t shirt with a hole in the neck!
>>448 oh you are right, I confess I hardly looked at his shoes.
Actually now I look closer the t shirt has another huge hole at the waist seam and the jogging trousers have a hole in the pocket seam!!!
