So, how many we got here?. I'll start with myself.

201 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 00:08 ID:uoQADJa5

201 is a virgin, and not proud. I'm not using the shitty excuse "I'm waiting for the right moment" because truthfully it can be any time now. It's not like i want to do it in a drunk stupor at some house party. I guess I'm not even really old yet, so I'm not in the biggest hurry. Though, I would like to experience this sex...

lolz gaiafag!

206 Name: Kira : 2007-07-11 09:21 ID:EQ/1p/JV

I rather not lose my virginity when I am young thanks.
People thinks losing virginity is something like trophy but really it's pathetic.
I know sex would be great thing if your in love but if you want to brag about it, then that's just sad.
Remember people getting married and having a long relationship (then having sex and such) is better than losing virginity from a girl who will leave you right away.

207 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 10:10 ID:ADO4MFLj

what means gaiafag? anyway, nothin with fag can apply to i, (204) cos i a girl :)

its not 'people' who thinks losing virginity is a trophy or something to brag about, its mostly just idiotic males that think that.
sex is definitely best if you're in love with the person, i definitely agree with that :)
about guys waiting till they get married, hmm myself and a vast amount of other females would much rather marry a guy with at least some amount of experience. they need to know what they're doing!
waiting for marriage or a really special relationship cos u genuinely want to do that is great! but there are a lot of people who just havent had a suitable opportunity and use such things as an excuse, which is dumb.

208 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 11:03 ID:Dc4AOj+X

>>207
I'd rather a female have no experience myself. Thats mostly because I think that if neither partner has experience in sex, that sexual compatibility becomes much less of a problem.

That, and I was raised with old values. And I want to marry a virgin. If I wasn't a virgin, I wouldn't bother marrying one or hunting one, since I would believe it wouldn't be fair for a potential partner and vice versa.

I remember being younger and I had my first gf online. I was naive then. If she wasn't an online gf. I would have definately lost my virginity then. But I'm glad she was, otherwise I wouldn't have the values I do have now.

209 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 12:52 ID:hWtBx2+A

>waiting for marriage or a really special relationship cos u genuinely want to do that is great! but there are a lot of people who just havent had a suitable opportunity and use such things as an excuse, which is dumb.

Exactly how is that dumb? The way I see it, is that anyone could get sex if they really wanted to. Lower their standards, even paying for it. As far as I'm concerned, in this day and age, virginity is harder to keep than to lose. The fact that people lose it, just for the sake of losing it, is dumb.

210 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 13:17 ID:3J/dUxsL

Is it okay to be virgin with 17 <__<?

211 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 14:08 ID:virHXaI7

i don't think there's necessarily a problem with wanting to keep or lose your virginity. honestly, i think you're all making way too big a deal about it. in the long run, what does it really mean? what does it matter?

personally, i think it's better for people to have a variety of experiences with a variety of people, in order to help calm the wandering minds and "what ifs" that come with settling down.

212 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 18:30 ID:Dc4AOj+X

>>209
She's not saying waiting is dumb. She's saying using it as an excuse because you haven't had an oppurtunity for it is dumb.

>>211
What does it mean? It means alot to me. It's my conviction. If I break it, I'll always have an itch in my mind about it. It'll be annoying. What-ifs don't bother me, Since all those what-ifs could be played out with a wife by my side.

213 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-11 22:34 ID:Heaven

waiting is probably dumb.

214 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-12 03:24 ID:aAHxbnA+

IMO, it's better to get some experience so that when you meet the one you really do want to keep forever, you're not completely clueless.

>>213
People who say that honestly drive me nuts, I'm not exactly sure why. I respect that they think that. But when they say it, they say it in just a way that makes it so condescending to people who believe otherwise.

216 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-12 05:27 ID:hWtBx2+A

>>212
I know what she's saying. I'm saying, so what if they use that as an excuse? In my opinion, it's just the same as people who go around proudly announcing the fact that they've lost their virginity. Quoting one of her previous posts;

>lolz at u people! I lost my virginity when i was 16. Sex is awesome! Yay for sex! All of you go have sex!

It's really not a big achievement if you consider how easy it is nowadays.

217 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-12 06:28 ID:Dc4AOj+X

>>216
Ah, the way you sounded, I thought you misunderstood her.

And sadly, it's way to easy to lose it.

>>216
I agree. I'm a virgin so it may not exactly be my place to say that but it isn't really a big achievement.

Actually it would be a bigger achievement to lose it on your wedding night.

Not that I'm waiting for that but seriously, nowadays that's really somethin'.

in my opinion it's when you're making excuses out of embarassment etc that being a virgin becomes something to laugh about.

my first post, i was just lightheardetdly typing, happily thinking of sex, and now all this lol! i should think before i type, huh? i shouldn't have lol'd, but really, come on.... after that many people confessing to being virgins on a board like this...

Virginity, or just sex in general, should be shared with somebody you care about.

People who wait for marriage, that's okay. People who don't, that's okay also, in my opinion.

Sex feels good and it's something special to share with somebody special. I don't feel that somebody special should be a husband/wife exclusively. Just think and be smart and protect yourselves once you're ready.

I think if people waited utnil they were really sure they could trust and talk with other people about sex, then it would be okay. People always think they'll be with their first loves forever and I know it rarely happens. Also with the divorce rate as high as it is, there's not really a sanctity of marriage to think about anymore.

That's why if you're in a relationship, make it count, and love each other.

That's all

221 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-12 09:11 ID:Dc4AOj+X

>>220
Yea, the divorce rate. Thats why I like to go after girls who are virgins. Because if they treasure their virginity that much and worked hard to keep it. It means to me that they will do the same to a relationship.

I really don't plan on divorce either. In this day and age, it's way to rampant too.

222 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-13 09:46 ID:JOdCTJw4

>>221

I think you'd miss out on meeting great people if you only look for virgins, though. Not all people who have lost it before marriage are sluts; and they can hold relationships as well.

If you found somebody you really cared about who wasn't a virgin, would you dump them because of that?

Too much emphasis on virginity.

223 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-07-13 19:54 ID:Dc4AOj+X

Maybe, maybe not. But I feel I really will regret it if I don't look for it. And I don't want it gnawing the side of my head whenever I think about it. I have enough things gnawing at me.

Same.

I'm nearly 18, female, and i've only had one boyfriend. And he was an asshole anyway. the relationship was non-exsistant. I tried to make it work, he ignored me.

I'm all for sex. Although, I'd like to know the guy fairly well first. I've gotten rather frustrated though, no guys will even approach me. It's not like I'm not an eyesore, I've had lots of people tell me i'm pretty. I started thinking of reasons why guys haven't shown any interest in me. I can be shy at times, and I have had tons of people tell me I look like I'm 12, so perhaps I appear too 'innocent'?

226 Name: 43 : 2007-07-15 07:52 ID:zSpNKdfv

22 years old.

I remember back when I was 15 my best friend implied she'd pay me to have sex with her just because at the school she transferred to she was the only virgin so she just wanted to get rid of being the odd one out. I refused...

When I was 16 I had a 4 month long relationship that kept me away from my studies and I didn't really feel anything in there. After we split up she turned into a stalker and would call me twice a day. Then she implied she would do anything to have me back. I refused...

When I was 17 I had another 4 month long relationship which was particularly awkward. I had this bimbo chick who confessed to me and I said "ok" just to make her shut up 'cause i thought she was fooling around with me but she was serious. I remember she was a year older than me 'cause she had failed and also I remember I couldn't stand her conversation which was 90% about her and 10% about the thing she liked or disliked. So instead of listening to her I'd teach her maths instead. She held my hand once and that irritated me so I told her I didn't like being touched to which she replied that she had the cure for that while she held my middle finger in a suggestive way while giving me a glance with a flirting expression on her face. I refused and said stuff that I reckon made her feel bad and lowered her self-esteem as female...(i regret saying that shit BTW)

Now that I talked to some girls I met a long ago they have said they used to like me but I seemed to be unapproachable. It seems I pretty dumb for guessing people's feelings and I also lack the skill to handle such situations. Which makes me wonder, maybe there is someone who likes me at this very moment but my ineptitude wont allow me to notice. I don't care about virginity now, but I'd like to be on a relationship. Also, I'd like to go back in time and slap myself for being an asshole at that time.

234 Name: uemei : 2007-08-02 03:17 ID:m3102R9f

26 years old. I don't think that with 0 Exp. I can be loved for my sexual performance. I don't want to be 'trained' to do sex the way an experienced woman wants me to, but rather to learn how to with some one of my own Lv.

I've considered foreign romance, but allot of the times traditional values are accompanied by traditional gender roles, and I don't want to be with some one who is content in their life being a brood mare.

In America only 1 in 20 women maintain their virginity to adulthood, and that number declines sharply between 25, and 27, which are the average ages of 'initial' marriage in the US.

Surveys list sex, or a euphemism there of, as the number one thing people would do if the world was going to end. I'm not sure I would, because I want to REALLY be loved, and want to inspire actual sexual attraction in my hypothetical lover.

235 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-08-02 04:32 ID:rSYE4ewt

Good luck finding love in a pinch when the world is about to end.

On the other hand, it seems like the brothels would crowd up too so sex may not really be an option either.

Shit, man, that's not really how love works. It was more than just the damn looks. She was a really nice, likeable person, one of those people that can really understand someone. And that's not even a good picture of her. Here's a video of her for your benefit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxmmFXAvXK8

(hint: she's the chick in the bunny girl suit fucking up "God Knows")

And yeah, you're probably right that she's overrated, but Jesus Christ, what a mess I was when I fell in love with her. I don't really understand why I did it. But it's messing me up hard, and as hard as I try and as busy as I keep myself, I can't really get her out of my head. It's like, no matter how busy I can keep myself with 4chan, work, and video games, she always comes up in my mind to remind me that I fucked up spectacularly. It doesn't help that I'm going to the same university as her in the fall.

Right now, I just either want to get back with her again, but I know that'll never happen.

25, virgin, never been with a girl. I don't feel sad about missing out on fucking, really, sometimes I just feel lonely.

It's not that I'm ugly, stupid, boring or anything like that, I just seem to be too different. People don't know what to make of me. I don't talk much, I save speaking for when I have something I feel is worth saying, but then I'm not awkward about it.

I like being on my own mostly, but it's also nice chilling with friends, but whenever we go out it's like I cannot get it in my system to look for and approach girls. I just stay cool, hang out and have fun.

Several times girls have been trying to get my attention, especially after they have gotten to know me, but when that happens it's like I don't understand until way later.
I've started to get a bit tired of being lonely, but then again I don't know if it would be that much better with someone?

Maybe I'm just the kind of person who is suited for being alone.

Turning 28 in a few days, virgin male. Not even a kiss.

I don't have any particular problem with it, aside from the irrational fears about never finding love and what not. Though this one girl, upon finding out I was a virgin, apparently began to like me (I later found out that she refuses to even consider someone who's not a virgin). That really bothered me. The same way I don't want to be liked solely for my looks or for how well off I am/what I do, etc. Call it a deep-seated insecurity if you will, but I want to find someone that really likes me for me - the whole package - and I want to find someone for whom I feel the same.

Hang in there kids, be proud of who you are, virgin or no. Or at the least, don't start worrying until you're old and wrinkly like me. :D

One thing you should look at towards that girl, is if she's a virgin herself. If she is, she's probably happy that there is a male just like her.

If she isn't, She could either greatly admire your determination, or is just after your cherry.

It really depends on the girl. Thats why you gotta get to know them ya know.

18, virgin.

I once had the chance when I was 15 with this beautiful girl, we had been friends for quite some time and I really liked her, but when she started coming on to me I got scared of ruining our friendship so I refused her, and then I did something I still can't figure out why. I told her we shouldn't see each other anymore.

Ever since then I've had this feeling I don't deserve anybody else, I still feel that way, I'm sure she got really hurt as well so I cant really forgive myself.

251 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-08-26 05:48 ID:u79U4WQj

20 year old virgin. Bisexual that feels that both genders is fine, but goes after love before sex. Probably why he's still one. Not to mention the fact that he can't really hear that well so he doesn't socialize.

Is dating someone that lost theirs at 18. Person is a year younger than him, and he feels this eating away at his heart feeling. Doesn't know what to do, but that's not for this thread I'm sure.

>>250
Have you thought about talking to her about it? Maybe that would help you resolve some of that guilt that weighs so heavily on you still. But you know what? Sometimes people hurt each other, even if they have the best of intentions. You just can't help what your heart feels and sometimes that means another heart gets broken as a result. That doesn't mean you're not a good person - you are. And you deserve to forgive yourself. I think maybe she already did, years ago. And if she hasn't, I'm sure she certainly would, if she knew why you did what you did.

>>248
I got to know her pretty well over a year or so. And yes, she was a virgin herself. But she told me even if she wasn't a virgin anymore, her thinking wouldn't change. The reason why she didn't want to be with a non-virgin is because she couldn't stand the idea that he'd been inside someone else (her words) - to her he'd be 'dirty'. I thought that was a really selfish and irrational way of thinking. I'm supposed to be 'clean' because I've never been with another woman before? And as a result, desirable? Anyway, it's a bit of a story in itself, her and I, but that's for another time, not for this thread.

>>249
Do you worry that it's a red flag for a girl that finds out? I do, sometimes. But I guess that's part of the package, isn't it? And if it's an issue for the girl, then I guess she's not the right one eh? Keep your head up bud, I'm cheering you on! And happy birthday, go out and celebrate :)

I was a virgin until 19 (still am 19), and I feel very happy that I waited until I found someone I loved. You don't want to do this once in a lifetime thing with someone who doesn't give a shit about you. However, I'd also venture that your relationship can't progress without sex, because it really DOES bring you a lot closer. That's all the input I have to this thread.

262 Name: uemei : 2007-09-02 07:11 ID:m3102R9f

I think keeping sex 'a big deal' would actually make it more romantic, and prevent cheating. I'm not opposed to liberal attitudes, but if sex is not treated like 'a big deal' then why is it a part of the legal, institution of marriage, and why is it people get mad when their partner 'cheats?'

The statistics do support your stance, but it's only by our own will that we can make, and keep, such things as sex, and virginity precious.

263 Name: Secret Admirer : 2007-09-02 08:31 ID:7WtXWfmu

People who rarely have sex enjoy it better than those that do it casually. See, the interest only gets stronger, and so is the fun.

So basically, those who values sex actually have more fun than those who don't.

Lost my virginity at age 19 to a woman seven years older. That relationship didn't last but really glad I lost it to a more experienced person. Sex is not a part of the legal institution of marriage. Well, if there's a country where the law of the land says it's illegal to have extramarital sex, then I'm not aware of it.

People (especially women and their parents) used to tie sex into marriage much more back when sex meant children.. but it doesn't have to anymore which led to the erosion of that connection.

Anyway, sex is always going to mean different things to different people. Some people attach religious or spiritual meaning to it. For some, it's just part of their job. For others, it's their way of feeling superior. What does masturbation, which is essentially having sex with yourself, mean to you? If you look at virginity as just a social label, maybe you'll be able to let go.

28 y/o virgin male here...never kissed, never had a relationship, etc. Don't know if I ever will, but I'm not going to just go out and give myself to anyone. If I DO get married someday I don't want to be comparing my wife to other girls or 'grading' her on her 'performance'. I only want to know her and nobody else, because then I'll know it as the best, the worst, and everything in between. If I want "experience" I'll just ask for advice from people.
...Plus I don't want any part of the potential for disease, children, drama, etc. that sexual relations often bring. Forget that. Not worth it, IMO.

Unfortunately, seems like most girls who on the rare occasion showed interest in me refused to date a guy who wouldn't sleep with them. -_-; Obviously I rejected them all. Hopefully someday I'll find someone who'll respect my desire to wait.

Indeed, I feel like I'm an endangered species sometimes. Finding girls like you is difficult, too. =[ I have no idea even where they'd even be hiding. As for me, I tend to hang out in online games [Mabinogi, TFC soon to be TF2, Follow Freeman, etc.]. Gaming isn't just my hobby, it's also my job. :P

Don't worry, you aren't alone. It just feels like it because we are spread so far out. I'm waiting to marriage myself. Although I want neither me nor my future wife to compare each other with past sexual encounters. Even if it's unconciously.

I'm 22, never had a girlfriend, never had a date, never got kissed, never made sexy time. And it's no one's fault but my own. I'm 5'11" and slightly (or perhaps not so slightly, haven't checked in a while) over 300 lbs. I can't blame women for being disgusted and repulsed by me. Additionally, I work a dead-end tech support job, so not only do I get paid shit, 99% of the population here is male. All of my free time is spent playing MMO's or fapping to doujinshi.

There are no decent places to meet people in my area. We don't have "clubs", just blue-collar bars where low-lifes hang out. The bar down the street is actually pretty scary. It's not a gay bar (its your run-of-the-mill hick bar) but all the bull dykes who work at Harley Davidson seem to gather there.

I tried the eHarmony thing for a while (since one of my co-workers met his wife there), and wow, what a mistake that was. It was a learning experience, though. Specifically, I learned that when I can't fall back on discussions about video games and super robots, and jokes about smegma, that I am a dull, dull person. Even the desperate buttertrolls on that site rejected me.

I try not to be emo about the whole situation, and I realise that I'm still young, but I've come to the conclusion that the only way I'll ever find a woman is to win the lottery and hook up with a golddigger.

Is virgin only applied to guy-girl sex? Or would you guys count oral too?

If you're going to stick to the motivation that getting a gf, getting laid and have a family or what the fuck ever is your highest purpose or goal in life you might end up being quite a sad person indeed, a very unfulfilled individual, depressed, lonely and bitter.

You might wanna change your goals, you might wanna change your lifestyle.
Stop fapping, stop playing mmorpg's, stop reading doujinshi. Your life is pathetic and you know it. You can find yourself a purpose, get involved, a higher meaning to life. You can be an asset or a burden, to yourself and others. If you are a cure and a light in your surrounding, you will be appriciated, and you might find yourself getting hooked up with someone who appriciates you.

Then, dull doesn't matter for shit, because in the end fun and games will save noone.

This speculation cannot be confirmed for several reasons, most of which should be blatantly obvious and outside the bounds of this discussion.
I think that must be the single worst sentence of misinformation I've seen on wikipedia to this date.
(Who exactly is 'some' ...and what makes him the 'greatest scientist ever'?)

> There are no expiration dates on men. It is the WOMEN who need to worry.

Hugh Heffner lost his long time girlfriend even though he would have married her but she wanted children and he is no longer physically able to.

> There are more women in the world than men, so I shouldn't worry were I you.

If a guy is in China, there are a few million less women than men. So perhaps it's only about equal for the ratio of female to male in the world.

I'm 18, coming on 19, and I'm still a virgin. Call it pathetic, but it really gets to me. All of my friends (the few that I have, for what it's worth) always go on about how it's one of the greatest feelings in life, and just talk about it almost religiously. They ruin it for the rest of the people I interact with, I guess, because every time I'm talking to someone else, I have it in the back of my head that they're not a virgin, then treat them differently (more of a jerk, making obnoxious remarks to them, et cetera). It's gotten to the point where I find it difficult to even listen to music written and/or performed by someone is not a virgin.

I don't know why I think of it as such a big deal. I guess it's because I'm a jealous person by nature, but it sucks to wake up every morning knowing that you're less in value because you're so fucking pathetic that no one will even take your physical presence and embrace it. Prostitutes are out of the question because there are none near me in the middle of East Bumfuck, USA.

I feel like I've been victimized by the rites of passage that society has instituted, but that knowledge doesn't make it any less painful. To put into perspective the degree of the situation, I struggle with suicidal ideation and impulses on a daily basis. It really cripples me from a health viewpoint; I'm sure I've taken off 10 years of my life at the absolute least due to strong depression and stress. Meds don't help and no professional assistance has changed anything for me from a sexual perspective, even after four years, and thus, I am doomed to live a short life as an emotional wreck due to an otherwise simple physical motion.

Adding to this, it's not like I'm THAT bad physically, unless you consider a 6'3" 140 pound guy with blonde hair and a slim body type a hideous fuck. I get friend-zoned all the time, maybe that's my problem. Maybe I just need to start treating girls like dirt.

Man, you really love to make things difficult for yourself. I was virgin until 19, and did not think much of it, it's not so unusual and traumatic. And guess what, once you did it the first time, you'll realize that it's nothing mystical, and anyways often the first time sucks, because you have no experience.

Now if you take things so seriously, I'm not surprised that it becomes more difficult for you. Just relax, try first to learn to relate with females, and sex will come as an added bonus.

I'm a virgin, i used to want to loose my virginity, but then i thought i'd rather do it later and with the right person than do it now and regret it. Loosing your virginity is like a gift that you give to the person of opposite sex.

I'm a virgin. 24, now, have a fairly decent paying and stable job. Not unattractive, moderately fit. I used to be all bitter and have issues with it, until I realized that being a virgin isn't the worst thing that could happen. If I suck at getting girls into bed, it's not the fucking end of the world, I should probably just focus on what I'm good at, and what I can do.

I was virgin until my 18, i dicided to do it with my actual husband, it worth it, give your first time for the person you love the most.

It feels amazing and i really think you guys are heroes for stay virgins, because most guys have the hormons like crazy when they're that age.

And it don't worth it with a whore, because... In my humble opinion, most are too nasty and are only thinking in the money, so your virginity it's just money for them. So better, gift it or do it with someone you really love.

If you actually READ the thread, you'd know that we do have hormone surges -- we just can't do anything about it.

Depending on how narrow your definition of "virgin" is, I was probably a virgin until late in my freshman year of college--so I was nearly 19. I had oral sex a few times in high school, but not often and not skillfully. It wasn't a big deal when I finally got around to it.

In my case, it helped to get out of the house, and into a dorm full of other horny, recently-liberated-from-their-families peers. But don't freak out about it. You'll be surprised by how little a difference it makes in your life once it's over.

291 Name: Secret Admirer : 2008-12-19 04:05 ID:WMGJ8SCT

I probably wouldn't be a virgin if I went to the dorms, but unfortunately, I went to a very difficult high school (there was an entrance exam), and as a result I ended up having to transfer into the university from a dorm-free community college and completely bypassed dorms.

>>288

There's nothing heroic about it. The way society is arranged, mating is mostly about female choice. Ignore that detail and it's called "rape". If left (or right) hands counted, I don't think anyone here would be a virgin.

I'm 24, and I've failed it many times when I've had chances...wondered if I was gay, and tried that but wasn't into it and figured out that I'm just incredibly shy around women (not conversation-wise or socializing, just when it counts) and inept at figuring out if a woman likes me or not.

None of my friends know this, since I've had relationships, but it nevertheless eats me up...it'd be a relief just to lose my virginity, to be honest because it's a secret I have to trot around everyday.

I'm on the same page as you. I'm 24 and a virgin as well and no girlfriend...and I haven't even lost my first kiss. My cousin has been asking me to get laid in a brothel. Heck, he would even pay for me. But I didn't take his offer because I believe losing virginity would mean a lot more when you do it with someone you love.

I'm hanging there and you should do the same. Find the one you love most and give it to her!

24. Never had a gf before. I'm not antisocial, maybe a little quiet, but I'm pretty loud and outgoing when I'm having fun. I'm athletic, generally pretty friendly.. but I'm 5'2". I don't think I'm ugly, but my height has proven to be a serious handicap. The girls I've been attracted to in the past don't take me seriously because I look really young, and the people that know me are surprised to find out that I don't have a girlfriend, and haven't had one, period. I haven't lost hope completely, but it's gotten to the point where I've just stopped trying recently (though school also has a lot to do with that, constant rejection is the main cause of it). What am I doing wrong here?
