Likely, but he ought to be specific. I am aware of his opinions of the console itself, along with the various crufty attachments that have been produced for it (Sega CD, 32X, etc.); however, he hasn't said much about the games themselves aside from a handful of terrible Sega CD ones. (That I'm aware of, that is.)

Personally I feel swindled, as I bought the Genesis and the Sega CD with my allowance money back in the day, and now that I have had personal experience with games other than the Sonic series (which, being first-party, clean games, were the only games ever really set up for playing in public demos) I feel that buying Sega was a dead-end move from the very start. Unfortunately, I was a gullible kid back then, and didn't know what I know now. It's a pity, really. Had I the foresight back then that I have now, I would have definitely boug-- OOH SOMETHING SHINY!

I'm contemplating my significance to this world. To answer this question first we must find the unit to establish a comparison method. Which brings us to the next question, "what is significant?". I'm still trying to find something that is significant nobodys POV.

Then I wonder the reason we care for others. Some might say that feelings that designate to honesty are noble, superior to greed and self-centeredness, for example, and that these people have a higher sense of justice. I wonder about that, and then I wonder about this: When these people do something "good", aren't they doing it because if they didn't, they'd be sad? For example, if I believe that one should always help those in need, and I was given the opportunity to help someone, if I ignored him, it'd haunt me psychologically; however if I helped him, I'd be in most acceptance with who I am, thus happy. I'm acting according to my own good. This is a form of self-centeredness. Why do I do this? A man is aware of the dangers of something, only if he has previously experienced them, or been told about them. All these people don't seem to share something specific in common, so we can cross the latter.

It is the former, so that means they must have experienced them in great deal, great enough to leave a permanent mark to their subconcious. The conclusion is that such people are haunted with mental scars, but they're considered by others the ideal.

> Why do i do that?

You could be doing it for any reason, that's not an argument that affects my argument. The fact that one action of yours brought happyness to another as a consequence does not necessarily mean you're one of the people I talked in my argument; we can see easily, with something resembling chaos theory, everyday actions of ours could be saving billions of lives.

As for pedophiles, they're ripping apart newly planted seeds. They're not any worse that do the same thing to an adult. I'm not going to take a stance against pedophiles, but I'm only going to observe that if our law system is not written by hypocrites, if it should punish pedophiles, it should also punish quite a lot more people who are not pedophiles - but who are committing that crime. Because is it the people that we condemn or the crime?

Thinking again...

For humanity to be saved both the individual and the community must believe that their goal is to advance humanity and to exist for the longest possible. Because to have humanity advance, humanity must exist, and to ensure something stays the longest alive, one must keep it healthy and prospering. To exist the longest means be able to forsee the most consequences and to take precautions for them, humanity must ensure that such men exist, which carry out such task. To ensure optimal results of those men existing, each and every child should receive proper education and have access to the same information resources, like all humans. Now we need to figure something else, who will be responsible for our children receiving proper education. Having access to the same information resources is easier to do than it sounds. An internet connection and nullified copyright laws should be all that is needed.

Ignoring what the individual needs to take care of what the community needs seems to be in favor of the community over individuals, however, the community can exist for as long as the individual exists. It doesn't seem possible to suggest a functioning community without functioning individuals. Therefore, if the individual suffers, the community suffers, and vice versa. Taking care of the community needs takes care of the individuals needs, we must only convince the individual that his needs are a subset of the community needs.

and again

There's evidence in the sense that we have the works of many philosophers from as early as BC, and from many cultures and places so I'm saying, if these men existed, and if they helped other men with their problems I imagine that most people would acknowledge their superiority in clear thinking and question them for their personal matters and it seems to me that one of the things that would terrorize a small-minded person would be death, and what is after it So naturally, what I guess most people would question those other smart men would be exactly that question what happends after death It seems most philosophers conceived of religions that reward the individual when he's "good" which means to survive and coexist with other humans I guess philosophers thought that this would protect the smart ones from the stupid ones perhaps this worked for some time but some more evil ones learned that trick as well, and thus religion is where it is today, with all these religious wars and everything that they brought.

These are merely speculations and I'm not claiming this to be the start of any religion, but I propose it as a possibility for the origins of the idea of religion.

If a person is doing something fundamentally wrong because he, at that time, following his idea for what is right and wrong, misjudged that this is the best option, and thus was forced to do what he did, in that situation, is what he has done unjust and punishable? If it is punishable, which of us has a definite idea for what is right and what is wrong, and which always acted in accordance to this? It seems that if we punish such situations we're punishing human nature, because it is humans that posses the thought and intellect necessary to be fooled in such way. Rather than punishing our nature, it would be better to look at it and try to understand more about it. Moreover, if later he realizes that mistake, wouldn't he learn better than anyone else not to do it again? If we punish such person, we're punishing the elevation of our citizens to better ones.

Not only we're punishing our nature, being sadomazochist, we also punish those who try to escape from this mess.

This is an argument against the lawful worker being a contributing member of society

The profile of the true-to-his-values man is that the sum of the money he has spent and posseses is equal to the work he has done. What may at first seem fair does not follow this principle to its roots. If one can have only as much money as he has worked for, then a man can only get money from other men. The question soon arises, who first used money? There's two ways to obtain money. One is to work for others (employment), and be paid. The other is to work for oneself, and be paid for sharing the results of the work, whether that is in sports, art, sciences, other. We can cross the latter because it seems unlikely the man who first used money paid someone who worked for himself. Instead, the man who first used money would have workers working for him, and he would've paid them to do that.

Hence, it is impossible for this "rule" to be the embodiment of fairness and justice, because deep down it's roots its rotten.

I'm wondering, is anyone reading my thoughts or should I stop posting them? I wish I had some more input.

a direct contradiction in our societies standards is that while
a woman that has sex often with guys is considered a whore,
the lifestyle of a man that has sex oftenly is desired and
appears to be a reward to something. (be rich, score chicks,
be famous, score chicks, et cetera)

This might lead someone to conclude that the man that often has
sex is also a "whore" and disrespecting himself. But how can this
act, which is our only way to survive, be condemned? If ones body
belongs to him, why is sex frowned upon? There's no need to answer
these questions if we accept that both females and males own their
body and that sex is natural. Accepting that ones body belongs to
him brings up more topics for discussion, for example, drug consumption.

There's not much I have to say about drugs right now, but they will give birth to other thoughts. Drugs are not an enemy, as it is generally perceived or propagandized today. Drugs are not any more special than anything else consumable by humans. Everything consumed by us is affecting us. Some are positive, some are negative, some neither or some of both. Drugs are a subset of those and all of these four. It is therefore worthy to question why do we draw the line with (illegal) drugs, when they are not different than other things one may consume. To find the answer, one must take a closer look at the effects of drugs on humans. That means he'll have to learn more about drugs to learn why they're illegal. (it is not coincidental that there's much propaganda nowadays about drugs, and true information is silenced, it's exactly for that reason - to have us unaware of the true reasons drugs were banned)

We saw one benefit that more knowledge on the matter of drugs would grant us. Drugs, as it was mentioned before, also have negative effects. These drugs should be considered carefully by the individual who wishes to do them, in particular he must calculate the difference between what he gains and what he loses with this drug, and find this calculations sign. One must have knowledge of drugs to be able to do this. If he does not have such knowledge, he'll harm himself. Educating our children about the precise effects of drugs and reasons why they would want to do them or not, along with all other information that may be necessary would protect more people.

Now, legalizing drugs? It seems that in this era that we're living, somewhere between 1940 and 2009+, the drug propaganda is necessary. We're given freedom of religion, but in older times this was punishable. Likewise, drug consumption was not always illegal nor it'll remain for long. I'm not too worried about drugs being legalized as I am worried about finding out what is it that starts these phantom fashions if I may call them, nonsensical things that most of us seem to follow, and weaken it, for as long as one is under its magic, it's not possible to see clearly.

Laws should be obeyed until their purpose is understood. It is well accepted that someone should generally follow his doctors orders. But this law has the following exception: When the patient is a doctor more skilled than the doctor who is conducting the diagnosis, he may ignore the advice given and follow what's in his mind. In other words, if one can see the line between applicable situations and exceptions, he'll be able to act accordingly to exceptions and benefit from that.

Unfortunately our current laws are more like a game of semantics rather than a true law system, and their purpose is to help some and be unfair to others, much like a cat likes some and dislikes others: those who pet and feed the cat are its friends, those who ignore it are its enemies. Likewise for laws today. There's not much to be gained from studying such laws. Instead the man must first find the laws of Gods and then he must follow them unconditionally, for he'll never fully understand them, aptly for divine laws.

("he" refers to both genders in all my texts unless explicity mentioned otherwise)

When a man sets a goal to achieve, he'll immediatelly have to change his life accordingly to the goals requirements. In particular, he'll have to think in terms of "good" and "bad" and "in between", with the following criteria: what brings him closer to the goal is good; what increases the distance of the two is bad, and while this rule is not yet completely expressed (for example, he'll also have to consider of what must and what should be done, and be able to compare two such things and recognize each)

Goals, therefore, affect both our thinking and our life. Different goals will have different effects. A man only knows from experience, so many goals will have to be tested to find one that brings the individual to the life he wishes. If experimentation must be done until the individual finds the goals that bring him close to the life he wishes to live, therefore he should be open and able to host new ideas in his thought, or as I'd like to call them "opportunity sensors", which are exactly that: sensing an opportunity to discover something that improves your life. With false judgement, the wrong decisions will be done and one will be harming himself.

How can we be sure of our choices? The short answer is that we can never be sure about anything. We'll only know as much as we've experienced, so the best solution available seems to be to experience and examine the most ideas possible. Banning an idea is only worsening the lives of those who are affected by the law. The law does not need to be legal -- it could be social, for example, the discussion of communism in post-WWII era, or the discussion of nazism and these events in Germany. It is preferred to put something on the side instead of considering at as soon as one is aware of it. It seems that humans can forget easier an idea from its conclusion. This shows from the fact that we're (under usual conditions) able to recall the conclusion we had about an idea ,but not the idea itself, unless we're told about it. Moreover, we may remember a conclusion but not the idea it was derived from. Seeking ideas improve us in these ways: If we encounter an idea from which we've previously concluded something but we forgot the idea, it benefits us, because we'll be able to re-examine the idea, and dismiss the conclusion, or even replace it,or find more reasons to agree to that conclusion. As kids, with much fragile judgement, we have made many nonsensical conclusions, for which the idea we've forgotten. For example, if a child is told by people he trusts, for example its parents, that he's mature enough to be responsible and survive on his own, that person may conclude, that since he's mature, his thoughts are mature and correct too. He'll be stuck with conclusions made then, without doubting them, unless he's lucky enough to have something trigger the idea-seeking mechanism. (continuing)

Ever heard of the so-called "Real Life" that awaits you once you're an adult? Ever noticed we're allowed to vote once we're at that age? How little time we have for ourselves when we're busy doing boring things that don't allow our minds to contemplate freely?

A reader may doubt me and say what is my basis for saying that ones mind blocks thoughts once its told that he's mature enough. Well, I'll answer this, but first I must say that this was just an example, and the general case is to be deceived to believe. In my example, the child was deceived to believe that he's mature, and then, from that starting point, he arrived to false conclusions, much like the wrong path will lead you to a dead-end in a maze.

I want to conclude that humans are deceived to believe, and that we should doubt instead of believing. This comes in agreement with what I've said previously about goals, only with doubt one'll find the better of the two. Doubt does not mean to dismiss knowledge, however. Psychologically, it's impossible to have someone stop believing. Instead we should enforce to ourselves to not be fooled by the feeling of certainity, which is one form of belief. Another form of bielef is dogma; Not all dogmas are wrong, because supporting all dogmas are wrong is a dogma in itself. If one is ready to dismiss a dogma and adopt a new one in face of new information, then he's clearly much better than him who is not stable in his beliefs: the former knows in every situation what to do, he'll either have to follow what his dogma says, or doubt the dogma.

How odd patterns make their way through our daily lives and why we should at least acknowledge them.

(I realize that now I'm unable to answer "why" we should realize them, unlike I promised in the title. I don't have a good-enough reason, but I posted this anyway.)

Odd patterns are formulated when the individual is forced (or forcing himself) to do something that he would not otherwise.

If A is normal in S situation, and if it would be odd to pick ~A, then ~A was picked for a different reason than the usual for S.

A lady that wants to eat in a restaurant, would perhaps visit it every Friday afternoon. Let's say that everytime she got there, due to her bad luck, an individual, who she did not want to meet, also enjoyed the food in one of the tables. Choosing to remain out of his sight, she picks a table close to the toilet. To make it worse, assume that the flushing of the toilet was heard from that table.

Normally, someone wouldn't pick this table, or they'd remember not to pick after one experience with it. However, as the stranger continued to appear Friday afternoons, she continued to take that table in order to eat out of his sight.

I'm supposing that a high percentage of people would continue to eat at that table even if the stranger was gone, some fearing that he may come suddenly one day to the restaurant and notice them, others because they don't remember the reason they're doing this, or perhaps they don't consider it anymore, having it part of their daily routine.

Odd patterns are formulated when the individual is periodically forced to do something he otherwise wouldn't.

It is generally agreed that our personality, whether material or not, is affected by all our senses and thoughts at all times. To find an odd pattern and then to overcome it means to improve oneself. Overcoming the pattern does not necessarily mean that the individual will also stop it. The realization suffices, because with the realization, we'll be able to recall previous odd patterns we do for the same reason, and avoid future ones (or at least realize them).

Humans, like any other species, have an embedded mechanism for survival. Feelings are part of this mechanism. It is vital to be safe when one wants to think freely. Thinking is a luxury: a man with survival priorities can only think for that. (exceptions are not mentioned) Philosophers were mainly men with a comfortable life, or had at some point in their life -usually childhood- that comfort, whether that depended on others working for them (slavery in ancient times), or because their family was rich, or for some other reason.

But what remains of feelings once we don't "need" them to survive? Feelings control us. When there's no need for surival, feelings can be misinterpreted. One should be able to overcome his feelings, to allow himself to have more options to approach a goal.

Example: When one stops fearing to fall from a bicycle, he'll be able to ride it. Day by day, that which was feared quickly becomes second nature to us.

Physicalism could be possible. At least, there's no concrete evidence against it, nor evidence that supports it any more than water supports sealife. The sealife might be there, because there's water, or it might be absent, independently of the water. Water is only the medium on which sealife survives and it does not imply sealife, likewise, the obeying of physics laws in our observations (and the expansion thereof to fit them) does not imply physicalism.

Without taking either side - theist or atheist, I can see one benefit from drug use. In the atheist sense, physicalism would be quite close to the truth. It is clear that if we, as humans, seek events that alter our thinking - having fun, loving, experimenting, exploring et al, which all influence our personality, it is awkward, as a human, at worst case, to fear drugs (if that much brainwashed from propaganda), or at least avoid thinking about them or their results. They should be likewise persuaded, along with drug exploration. Not to get into too much detail, but there should also be ensured that there's knowledge available on drugs, should it be that one wants to try them. Generally, they should be viewed as tools or means of getting us somewhere, and not a threat to society. (the real threats are another discussion, best suited in a political atmosphere)

From the theist point of view, religions are irrelevant, so to speak, to the divine feeling some drugs may offer, and even more so, the conclusions drawn after use. (usually concerning revelations the individual may experience that seem to affect the rest of his life to a degree)

The natural response of a human to something valuable would be ensure to keep it with him -- or to keep himself with it, and learn the most possible from it. Since drugs show to benefit one, and if it's smart to improve, then one should at least educate oneself on these matters.

One is when one is not dependant on what one is.

For example, if you are called brave, and the situation arises that requires bravery, you can't depend on your title as "Brave" to pass the requirements; rather, you need to be brave at that very moment, regardless of what you were before, or what you are going to be after. By depending on being brave, one can't show signs of bravery. Likewise, by depending on being rich, one can't show signs of richness, or depth, in character.

Imagine a big island, with a lot of earths features on it. That is, it has mountains, deserts, beaches, forests, ponds, rivers and other shapes. A lot of the known and recent (not prehistoric) animals would be there too. Let us assume a fresh generation of humans, say, those who were born in the year 2009, that they were all raised in that island. Now imagine invisible powers that took care of the humans until they're able to think in sequence and surive themselves. The humans would not be aware of these powers. Those humans would be cave men; they'd have zero knowledge, no ability to communicate with each other, and they'd be unaware of many things that are known for many generations, even though they're raised in equivalent environments. Now assume that the generation that gave birth to this generation was at the peak of human advance - that is, the brightest minds. What seperates these two generations is the awareness of previous generations, the knowledge of each, and the teachings of the previous generation to the next generation.

To ensure the continual of our existence, we must realize these factors and start acting immediatelly. Awareness of previous generations means honest history, that is written the day it occurs. It means a history with no holes, no missing pages, unlike what we have so far. Who wouldn't want to read Aristotles teachings as he had written them, and not as they are found today, to witness this river of gold that Cicero wrote about? I think the biggest barrier between early generations and present ones is communication. Because this is not attainable, present generations must ensure that the future generations will be able to know the most about them. But really, doesn't the same problem still hold for the present generation with itself, or the present generation with future generations? As humans, we must realize that we're not part of this generation, not that we're part of this generation and previous ones, but that we're part of human history, and we should be aware of all generations, past, present, future. To the past, by reading what's been documented, to the present, by being open minded and fair with every idea and every person, to the future, by ensuring the fair documentation of the present.

First, let us assume Physicalism is true, every thing bellow this will consider it to be true, and that which may at first seem an assumption is a necessary truth with physicalism. (unless, of course, there's errors)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physicalism

The question is: does every different thought also differ in what it is made of from others? (thought/mental image and thought representation)

If they do differ, then there's not much I can conclude of right now. I think it wouldn't mean anything in particular, except perhaps that infinite exists.

Let's consider that there's different thoughts with the same thought representation.

Here's an example: Now I think of the number 97. To write this, I had to think of that number. Now I write 108. Did I do this repeating the same process? Or if I'll continue writing down numbers I'll eventually find two of them that have the same thought representation? The question is important because numbers are infinite, which imply infinite representations. If two representations are equal but I've written two different numbers, that must mean by some other means my brain has differentiated the two thoughts to know to write which of the two, 97 or 108. But there's something implied: there's numbers we could not possibly conceive of. There's the unknown and what can be known. The union of the known and the unknown is infinity.

I hasted to call this unknown when it could be either of the two: Not existing is another possibility, but that'd mean our universe is all there is. It also means it's infinite, because if it is finite, then clearly something exists beyond it.

But let's examine something else. If I start counting from 0, increasing my count by 1 and shouting out loud the numbers every time, because there's numbers impossible to think of, clearly something would stop me before I iterate that many times plus one my counting loop. Let's assume all humans worked in perfect synchronization in counting numbers, every human would start at the number the previous stopped. Even then, something would stop us. What is that something which could stop the entire efforts of the human race? One is resources. We can assume there's sufficient resources to carry out the task, because we're not necessarily talking about universe in which physicalism is true, but any possible universe in which physicalism is true.

What can stop us then? The end (death) of the universe is one answer. But then physicalism is not true. We could answer that the thought representation of these numbers is made of something that does not exist in our universe, but that means there's more than one universe, because it must exist somewhere. If one then asks "how many universes are there", we'd be talking about a string theory.

It also means something else: we can never know anything for certain. If we know p to be certain, then the truth that p is certain must also be certain; and also the truth of that ad infinitum, but at some point we'll arrive at a truth which we can't possibly know, therefore can't possibly be certain about. In a more general sense it means everything is part of infinity. But then how can the illogical be true? If I imagine something, it must exist, if infinity exists. If I imagine myself in a universe for which physicalism is true, to know something for certain, or

I think I described that more erotically than it was, but it was pretty weird.

To be responsible for something means to accept something related. Because to be responsible for something automatically brings the concept of "good" and "bad" actions - that's what defines what we're responsible for. For instance, when we're responsible for the safety of our young sibling, we're responsible because we're "stronger" (physically and mentally), and it is our duty to help the weak. To do otherwise would be considered "evil".
