( ・-・) Middle-eastern politics in general are juvenile, petty, absurd and capricious. I probably wouldn't feel too bad about stating this publicly, actually.
( ・-・) The US can be blamed for almost every conflict of the last 25 years. Too bad, nobody has balls to place sanctions on it.
( ・-・) Autarky is the economic ideal. Without foreign trade there is no impetus for involvement in foreign conflicts.
Realpolitik is the political ideal. Without geopolitical isolationist policies, there is no impetus for withholding entry into foreign conflicts.
Zeon did (almost) nothing wrong.

Palestinian politics is bullshit. People have the choice between Fatah, which is composed of corrupt assholes, or Hamas, which is composed of violent assholes. There are other factors that pushed Hamas into power in Gaza, namely that it's a tiny shithole ghetto state that contains 2 million people who have fuck all for resources and can't better their circumstances because of political reasons. Likely people felt frustrated with Fatah there, though I can't imagine they'll be itching to put Hamas back in power after the latest war. My current hope is that a better party will arise out of all this bullshit, but it seems unlikely considering the conditions.
Anyway, just don't talk about something you don't know anything about. I blame Hamas fully for what happened, but most of the people hurt in Gaza are just trying to live their lives.
>>559 Honestly, Palestine is a cornered rat with exactly one option. While I dislike killing, I can't think of a better party for them than Hamas at the moment. Do you have any insights on how they could gain self determination non-violently? Israel seems perfectly willing to commit genocide.
You mean the Isreal that goes out of its way to avoid civilian casualties while dealing with neighbors who revel in killing civilians is the genocidal half of this conflict?
Do your thoughts and opinions ever actually intersect with reality at any point?
>>566 Israel that uses their border guards to regulate food import? That shoots at fishing boats who try to go far enough out to actually catch fish? How does starving a country to death avoid civilian casualties?
How does hiding rocket launchers and weapons in schools and hospitals avoid civilian casualties? How does the Hamas police deliberately forcing Palestinian civilians to stay in combat zones avoid civilian casualties? How does digging tunnels under Israel with the express purpose of KILLING CIVILIANS avoid civilian casualties? How does breaking every single fucking cease fire the moment they have more rockets in place avoid civilian casualties? How does having a charter that's devoted to utterly destroying their neighbors no matter how much it costs themselves avoid civilian casualties?
>>565, they have two options, actually. They just utterly refuse to consider the peaceful one because their magic book tells them to kill all Jews all the time.
>>568 I never said Hamas was morally upright or didn't kill Israeli civilians and jeopardize their own. I said I wasn't sure how else Palestine could prevent their own extinction and asked if you could think of a peaceful way because I don't see it.
>>568 for the record, I also support Israel's right to self-determination, I just don't see it as presently being threatened.
>>569, the peaceful way is pretty simple actually. Stop trying to destroy Israel. Stop trying to KILL ALL JEWS. Make peace. Simplest thing in the world. Requires very little effort on their part, and they'll be much better off in both the short and long term. Win win.
Israelis want peace - they're the most progressive society in that region.

I think we could all learn something from >>572's insightful political analysis.
( ・-・) Mittens really are pretty lame.
It is never right to boycott. [Not related to current events.]
( ・-・) I boycott mitten shops all the time.
( ・-・) ... I boycott ... mit... mi...

>>580 You're just pissed because Israel has the temerity to not only defend itself from the bloodthirsty lunatics at its borders, but has been so successful at it.
Like all liberals, you hate success and want to see the successful brought down, because they make you feel bad about your own worthless life.
Go out and do something productive, you weenie.
>>581
You kikes have a lot of nerve talking about "success" when the only reason Israel exists is because of the billions of dollars you parasites are leeching from other countries. Lemme guess, I'm also against welfare leeches because I hate their success.
Go cry to your mamadaddy government, lefty.
Enjoy your jewish lobby, you centrist bastard.
Actually, I'm Presbyterian, but thanks!
>Go out and do something productive, you weenie.
Sayeth the guy who's posting on DQN.
I'm not practicing what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to.
>>587 This is the anon thread on an anon board. How would you have any idea who you're preaching to.
It's by your actions that people know you.

( ・-・) I was trying to do something mildly malicious with HTML tag abuse, but it didn't work.
( ・-・) Malicious or delicious?
( ・-・) Possibly both.
it is my sincerely held belief that videogaming is the worst hobby community on the internet.
worse than tumblr
worse than reddit
worse than sjw blogs
worse than animu & mango
it's probably worse than christian mingle too
>>597 I enjoy video games but find it hard to argue with that. Usually I distance myself from the "community" outside of "how do I make map" and "will you play my map" matters.
>>597 sjws and video game forums are an ouroboros of worthlessness.
( ・-・) 500get.
( ・-・) This whole network of boards and people that thrive on being ironic should be set ablaze.
( ・-・) Except for me.
( ・-・) My irony is cheeky and fun, but everyone else's irony is cruel and tragic.
( ・-・) Which... makes it not really irony at all.
( ・-・) Evil irony!
( ・-・) Open Source doesn't produce better software, it produces design-by-committee trainwrecks. In places where it's better, it's generally only because the authors genuinely don't expect to make any money, as opposed to being burdened down with DRM/adware/spyware/whatever.
>>603
( ・-・) As a software engineer working with enterprise bus systems in java, I agree (especially anything with RedHat behind it), but with the caveat that most proprietary software is a design-by-committee trainwreck as well. We just see less of that software because it also happens to be purchase-by-committee.
( ・-・) I hate my company's purchasing committee.
( ・-・) I have a really ugly, thick penis
( ・-・) I have to choose between making a site in ASP.NET/C# or installing WAMP on this windows virtual server... I choose ASP.net/C#
( ・-・) I love microsoft windows server edition operating systems. They are easier to setup and have better support than any linux or *bsd distribution (that I have used).

>>607
( ・-・) That's probably because they are rebranded versions of the desktop OS with a license for more RAM and take no more expertise to set up or run than a home edition copy.

( ・-・) I just read The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings again.
( ・-・) The movies are better. No contest.

ASP.NET is plenty better than WAMP, no shame in admitting it.

Copy that. Racket is the language that makes me feel most like a wizard.

Scheme is cool conceptually, but has a heavily fragmented ecosystem.
Racket is Scheme on steroids.
I don't grasp the meaning of "VORODEMOTO." I think it might be "Voldemort" as you might write the word using katakana, transcribed back into the Roman alphabet--but why do people post the word and nothing else? Is it the newest le ebin may may from le lebbit, or something?

( ・-・) Great... Another snob who decides for everybody that reading a book is more enjoyable than watching a film.
( ・-・) What would happen if we had some huge faggot decide for everybody that having things shoved up their ass was superior to all forms of sexual pleasure?

( ・-・) I have a hard time staying hard.
( ・-・) I kind of like that moment when I'm in the shower and have just soaped up my asscrack and this thin curl of brown runs off one foot (always the right one, never the left for some reason), and goes down the drain. I feel extra clean after that.
( ・-・) I find myself continually frustrated in having to explain to other people that there is not a party going on in my pants and there never will be!
( ・-・) I still frequent 4chan, despite hating most of it's users, simply because it's fast and has a pokemon board.
>>626
( ・-・) I quit 4chan years ago. /f/ just never gets fresh 2ch flashes anymore. You would think I should take the role of Anonymous Commander and plug this hole, steer people to the enlightenment and Japanese — find and post those movies myself. No, screw it, I'm disappointed.
>>626
( ・-・) I haven't stopped visiting 4chan because the only real, viable alternative to it is reddit.
( ・-・) I play pokemon competitively.

( ・-・) That sounds pretty impressive until I point out that most of the people you're "competing" against are like eight years old.
( ・-・) The more hardcore leftist people are, the more likely they're weak, ugly, uncoordinated losers. Seriously, just look at 'em. Empty your mind of prejudice and LOOK.
( ・-・) Then laugh, because most of them are so pathetic they're funny.
( ・-・) The more worthless a person's opinion, the more they seem to shout about it.
( ・-・) The fucker didn't even sage!
Why would you post the "cold hard truth" on the thread about opinions we are embarrassed about or otherwise not comfortable with admitting in public?
I hate all but maybe two of my coworkers, but I pretend to be their friends because networking is too valuable right now.
( ・-・) It's not even like I don't agree in spirit but do you netouyo fuckers really have to turn every single messageboard, blog, youtube comments section and bathroom stall graffiti you visit into /pol/?
( ・-・) I probably wasted my late teenage years spending hours every night browsing dozens of different image boards, and now that I'm an adult, I have nothing going for me, and my brain is rotted.
( ゚ ヮ゚) But I everything there is about board culture!
Gooby plz
