Somebody had to restart this thread. I hope it's okay if I do it.
You aren't mad at me, are you?

The injury itself wasn't too impressive (about half a cm³ of skin and tissue sliced off the side of a toe), but the fact that it happened in brackish water and went untreated for over ten days, without more than a bandage to stop the bleeding, was life-threatening and had me spending three weeks in hospital at age eight. In retrospect, my parents should probably have sued the school whose class trip it had happened on, considering my foot was almost twice the width of my sandal by the time I got back. A bigger injury with less drastic consequences than a scar was a 2cm deep and long tear in my calf muscle from a rusty nail. It received prompt and proper medical care apart from stitches, which I refused for some reason now utterly unclear to me.

Can you recommend anything decent to buy and download from PSN for the PlayStation3 from inside Germany? Please avoid answering in a simple negative, unless this means the thread remains inactive for over a week.

When I was about 15-16, I went through a depressive period and cut my forearms and legs with razor blades. Fortunately I didn't carve any embarrassing words into myself, but I do have very obvious scars I'll have to put up with for the rest of my life.
>>459
What is your most recent accomplishment?
>>458 Hmmm I had my photo printed in the local newspaper with a quote about how shit the job market is post-graduation and how useless the job centre is, but they kinda took it out of context to make me sound a lot harsher than I actually was (though the sentiment was the same)

I don't know what a subreddit is and I don't want to know. See also: http://4-ch.net/dqn/kareha.pl/1332599092.

If your life so far were to be portrayed as a landscape painting, what would it look like?
>>478
Roller coaster tycoon. I spent hours and hours on that game when I was a kid. No other sandbox game has given me anywhere near the same hours of fun and satisfaction.
>>480
What was the first video game you got addicted to? (If you've never been addicted, then what's the first video game you enjoyed?)
>>486
I really enjoyed Pokémon cereal. I can't remember if it had a proper name, but it was basically Cheerios with little marshmallow Pokémon. I know there's some similar cereal sold in the US, but to my knowledge Pokémon cereal was the first of its kind here in the UK. It was so sugary and delicious.
Now I just eat Bran Flakes, because I'm boring.
>>488
Do you have any unusual talents?
>>490
Short answer: none.
Long answer: none that I know of, but it wouldn't surprise me if I did have one. I have, in the past, suspected myself of having Asperger's or Schizoid Personality Disorder. In both cases I have a significant number of symptoms, but not enough to be particularly convinced.
>>492
Have you ever considered matricide?
>>494 a banana, a kitchen roll holder, a beer bottle, a girls' dilator, a tampon (it was painful trying to pull it out), people's fingers, various pens, hmm some other stuff as well i think
>>496 what would your parents say if they could see your whole life and your failings and achievements at a glance?
>>495
I've often wondered that. Probably something like "We love and support you no matter what", but I can't make any guesses as to the degree of sincerity. I'm just hoping that my academic achievements outweigh my creepy sexual fetishes.
>>497
Is there a particular time and place in history you would love to visit/permanently inhabit? If so, where, when, and why?
>>496
Quite honestly, I'm a spoiled kid of of the 21st century, and would probably go crazy without my modern conveniences. But if I had to choose, I would be curious to live in ancient Minoan civilization. Not too much is known about them, since Crete was completely destroyed by a volcano, but they did seem to be pretty advanced. They even had flush toilets.
>>498
If you had to permanently move to anywhere from 100 to 1000 years in the future, how far would you go?
>>501
It really depends on the individual - age doesn't have anything to do with it. What if I fall in love with a 70-year-old? But as a rule of thumb, I tend to find the thought of sex with anybody older than my mother (49) a bit creepy.
>>503
What's the youngest age with whom you wouldn't feel creepy doing sexual things?
>>504
There are some great ones here in Britain. I especially like "Gropecunt Lane", "Twatt" and "Sandy Balls":

I actually lived in a village called Pity Me for a while. That was a fun name.
>>506
What was the best restaurant you have ever eaten at, and what did you have?
>>505
Probably this place "Cava turacciolo" in Italy. http://www.cavaturacciolo.it/home.jsp
I barely remember what I had, except that it was multiple courses. I think fresh lake fish was part of it. Of course there was plenty of fancy cheese to go with all the different wines. The combination of chocolate with a dessert wine was particularly delicious. I probably tasted about 10 different wines that night. Good thing I wasn't paying for it.
>>507
What's the most expensive thing you regret paying for?
>>509
Molesting my girlfriend in her sleep, only to discover she was actually awake. Not knowing she had actually been awake for the past half hour, I panicked and pretended to be asleep, which in retrospect was probably the dumbest thing to do, since she got (justifiably) upset at me for lying about it, though fortunately she forgave me quickly since it was one of her secret fetishes. I never forgave myself though.
>>511
What's your most successful sexual accident?
>>510
Sitting down for on an unlubed anal dildo (first one I had used ever). No pain or tearing was involved.
>>512
Would people be more interested in science if there were internationally binding legislation to express all measurements exclusively in scientific (exponential) notation using SI base units?
>>511
I think people would strongly resist such legislation. Assuming people did accept it though, I doubt it would change people's interests. People are forced to learn how to do all sorts of things in school, but it doesn't make them any more interested in those subjects.
Also, I like the idea but it doesn't make much sense for small numbers. Just imagine speed limit signs with figures like 2.0~10^1m/s.
>>513
What interests of yours have changed since you were a kid?
I am jap.
There is a question about me.
When it makes cup noodles with hot water of 300 degrees, how long is it suitable to wait?
>>516
Well, that's a pretty complex question, really. It depends on a huge number of factors - the type of noodles, the volume of the container, the mass of hot water, the temperature (300 Farenheit? Celsius? Kelvin?), air pressure, wind speed, gravity, acceleration, whether the month has an "r" in it or not... I can't really help you unless you give me more information to go on.
>>515
This one time I fell off a bunk bed in the middle of the night, onto a concrete floor, fracturing my wrist. The place my family and I were staying at was pretty much the middle of nowhere; miles away from any kind of inhabitation, and tens of miles away from the nearest hospital. So yeah, that sucked.
>>518
How many hours do you usually sleep per night?
>>518
Very interesting... I haven't read any philosophy on it at all. I suppose it's the thing that clocks, journals, and memories make, isn't it? Hmm...
>>520
What philosophers / works of philosophy should I introduce to my female friend who's somewhat ignorant about the field? She said she'd read some, but I think she was just saying that to be nice... Out of what I've found most enjoyable, easiest to read, and most interesting, I was thinking of lending to her:
I felt the need to mention her gender because I feel women are not as inclined towards philosophy as men. I'm also worried that these may be too many books, but she's a shut-in, so it's not like she has much better to do... Well, if there are any I should take out, replace, or add to that list, I'd really appreciate your input.
>>519
Just suggest one at first, or she probably will not read any of them. Pick the one you want her to read most, and if she actually gets into it, you can go from there. Just beware that the average person, regardless of gender, do not really want to put in the energy to read works of philosophy.
>>521
How often and how thoroughly do you clean?
>>517
300 degrees centigrade. The capacity is "nissin cup noodle". The pressure that the pressure can make hot water of 300 degrees centigrade.
<(_ _)>
>>524
Because I feel hungry and have eaten, I cannot measure it anymore.
I thank for your past cooperation.
Thank you.
>>522
Hmm. Will you get water at all when you open the tap? At normal ambient temperature and pressure, at 300 degrees C. you would get what the engineering textbooks call "superheated steam."
This seems quite a dangerous way to prepare cup ramen. You could be scalded and badly burned. Have you considered boiling some water in a metal pan instead?
Is there not any good method to shorten the waiting time of cup noodles?
>>533
It is great!
Should a thing to use to do it not be lard or margarine?
