Although I'm sympathetic to liberal opinions on immigration in terms of policy, I don't like the way a lot of liberals support it. ``Hell yeah, I'll take a taco truck on every corner!" as if there are only benefits and no downsides. By refusing to acknowledge that there is a tradeoff, you make it impossible to appeal to the people that are on one side of it. Because you can't look a poor American in the eye and say, ``You may suffer from job losses and increased crime, but their suffering is greater," you can't say anything.
