If you are familiar with the kind of clickbait drivel it's copipe'd from, though, the odds are also good that there aren't a whole lot of people actually doing something that bad. Not to put too fine a point on it, but sometimes it seems to me that the writers and readers of this sort of crap have a burning need to confirm that someone out there is dumber than them. (Nonetheless, there are other mind-blowingly dangerous things people frequently do with contacts... you won't BELIEVE what happens next.)
