If you had to choose between two characters in a video game and they were pretty much the same but one of them would every once in a while have all their stats lowered and lose a considerable amount of blood, which one would you choose?

It feels kind of depressing going to a grocery store and having old classmates bagging my groceries.

After spending a few years in another country, I returned to my hometown and went to Home Depot. A guy I knew from high school was working there. I didn't recognize him at first, nor did I even remember his name until later, even though we had been friends.
Much as you said, it gave me a surreal, otherworldly feeling, as if the time I had spent in the other country had never happened.
prestige class: mystic pimp
Sometimes I see a comment on a site I frequent and want to post it in the [BEYOND DQN] Someone else's comment from some site nobody knows [PASTE] thread, but can't remember if it's my own comment or not so I end up not posting it.
vc: exmuff
Also, sometimes I see a funny or interesting comment and go to paste it in that thread only to realize I've been on DQN the whole time.

An old secondary school friend served me at a till once. We "hey babes"'d each other in the standard male/male way, but all I could picture was the photo I'd seen of him not long before, grinning from ear to ear, struggling to hold his eyes open and holding a large nugget of cannabis.
I don't have any high school friends.
>>440
Me neither. and I live far enough from my hometown that I will new never have to run into classmates. I count myself fortunate.
I'm so glad I'm moving.

I love when the fucking people on the radio say it's sunny and 90 degrees and it's a "beautiful day". Yes, that's a beautiful day, assholes. Walking around in the hot sun all day. Eat shit.
Mathematics is just applied philosophy.
Maybe just philosophy where most people agree on the axioms and can make a valid argument.
"Hit or miss" is such a wishy-washy term.
I wonder what I can use to make small anus wounds heal faster.
He actually gave it to Nishimura.
I can't even believe it.
>>452
Oh shit. I don't know what to expect. Maybe financial disaster since Hiroyuki is pretty prone to that. This is truly the beginning of the end, so long 4chingos.
> Hiroyuki (Mirai Kensaku Brazil) had signed a contract with a data mining company named Hotlink and sold them the personal data / user comments from 2ch.net.
Uh oh!
Haven't been to the place for years. Tried to make a cheer up post that they finally got truly Japanese roots, but the thing told me my IP range/ISP/country is banned without providing me with an actual list and that I need Premium VIP membership. Same for my secret VPS. Without a proper list of bans, this looks like a great tool to abuse.
They should be happy they got an actual jap — admin or not — on their board anyway.
> 4chingos
This sounds like a Mexican insult.
Is Nishimura that bad of a guy, or is it just fear-mongering? I don't want the site to die.
>>454
You'd think that it being Nishimura who sold user data would be common knowledge, but it's not. Most people on 4chan threads i've seen think that 4chan is owned by who currently owns 2ch, that is, the guy who also owns 8ch, rather than nishimura.
>>458
So it's Hotwheels who overthrew Nishimura? Or are you talking about a different 8ch?
I can't bring myself to care about Hiroyuki owning 4chan. It's like nobody uses Adblock.
>>459
no.
the owner of 2ch now, Jim Watkins I think, happens to also be the owner of 8ch, or something similar. Watkins fired nishimura for doing seedy stuff like selling data and deleting negative posts about the companies that paid him. People on 4chan are thinking instead that Watkins is the one who did the bad shit, as well as thinking that 4chan and 8ch are owned by the same people.
>>460
Adblock doesn't protect you from datamining the posts themselves though, and since 4chan has a policy of blocking proxies and VPNs, then there's no real way to protect you from it if you insist on posting. The ones who are more at risk are probably the 4chan pass people.
8chan partnered with Futaba, not 2ch. Jim isn't involved at all.
>>463
you sure?
because 8ch says jim owns them
http://8ch.net/who.html
>>464
What the fuck?
This is the first I'm seeing of this.
Jim is US Military btw, so....
2ch got rid of it's shady thug owner, only to get owned by the military, then 8chan got the hosting it needed, but it is from the same military handler. 4chan then looses it own shady thug owner, only to be replaced by the shady thug former owner of 2ch...damn.
Well, at least SAoVQ, 4-ch, and the Post Office still exist!
>>463
This is what the idiot admin there thought too, 2ch is still as much not 2chan as it was when he sold his hosting to the admin of 2ch.
Fortunately 4-ch is a financial black hole and will never be victim of a commercially motivated takeover.
>>465
What do you mean by "Jim is US Military"? That the companies he owns and operates are a front for military? Could it be cyberwarfare I keep hearing about?
But shouldn't CIA be on the forefront of new espionage technology? And how is NSA involved? They were building that huge datacenter after all.
>>468 he was in the Marines or something stationed in Japan, that's how he became a weeb in the first place. I don't know what that other guy is talking about though.
>>468
USG often uses legitimate businesses as fronts for things. See our history. Sowing even more right-wingness in our military parter Japan would be great for our interests in the region.

daarin
The amount of people on 4chan /qa/ who had never heard of Hiroyuki before yesterday and think all the allegations against him are some kind of 8chan disinfo campaign is disturbingly high.
I think I really like vanilla.
>>473
To be honest, that would not be something beneath Brennan nor 8chan. Imageboards are a virulent, toxic thing to be involved in now.
>>473
Damn it DQN, I come here to be an obscure hipster not to find people in the same thread as me.
This supposedly bitter chocolate I bought is sweet as fuck.
>>473
I read there was going to be a AMA thread with him on /qa/ at 8PM EST. I want to ask him about this stuff and see what gymnatic logic he'll come up with to explain it away.
Oh shit. Ive been seein posts on 4chans qa board about people wanting to migrate to textboards. Someone even suggested this place. Are you guys promoting this site? Hehe
you want to use pic icon?
I think try and error is best way.
May I ask the detail about tripcode thing later?
'cause tons of question are ahead of me.
I'm happy that there is no stupid 4chan users who easily are deceived without any evidence.
First of all, NT technology, which is owned by Jim Watkins, were a hosting company which hosted 2ch.net servers.
Also, they provided domain privacy protection services.
I used their services.
"I" means (Packet monsters Inc. and I) in all later sentences.
One day, their credit card servers were cracked.
The 2ch pass service was made by Zero Inc. and NT technology.
They secretly stored userfs credit card numbers and users personal information.
And, Crackers leaked those information.
I didn't have any access to the 2ch pass servers.
And Ifve never known that they stored such information on their servers.
After the leaking, they wanted to make 2ch pass again.
But I couldn't trust them so that I declined.
And, they were almost bankrupt.
So, Jim stole 2ch.net domain and systems.
It is what happened.
If they don't tell a lie, they can explain that
"Who gave or sold the domain and system to you?"
"Is there any evidence like a contract?"
There are no such evidence because they stole.
Actually, I have sued them in Japan. The lawsuit starts on Nov.
If I do illegal things, why wouldnft they sue me?
Instead of that, I have sued them because they are liars.
"It was all my paper company, not me."
yeah, this q&a is shit so far
He seems to like replying to just the same repeated questions with the same repeated answers over and over.
I don't think that's a Japanese culture thing, I think it's just him being stupid.
>>488
I'm having a blast tbh
I wish I had gotten something to eat beforehand
Is it true that the reason moot left 4chan was because of a pic of her sister sucking cock started popping up on /b/?
Man, that seems pretty heinous.
>>492
Sounds like bullshit to me. I'm pretty sure he just grew out of it.
>>492
Yeah that's not true. Moot just didn't want to deal with the bullshit any more.
Because it's comfier here (L֥`)
Also because 4chan seems to be frozen right now.
>>492
Nah man, it's 2015. If moot-chan's sister hadn't sucked her share of cock she'd be suspected a homosexual or worse, a prude.
>>497
I'll bet they sucked cock together.
I suppose that means that we're no longer the western version of 2ch.
Why the fuck does Windows hide file extension by default? Isn't that the most retarded thing ever?
>>499
This always pissed me off too. Enabling display of file extensions is of the first things I do when I install Windows.
>>499
(L֥) Maybe you shouldn't have pirated windows. Thread locked.
>>495
Remember, 4-ch.net and 4chan.org have NOOOOOTTTHHHHIIIIINNNNGGGG to do with each other.
>>500
Same here. Never quite liked a lot of the default decisions windows makes in the interest of being "user friendly", but I suppose it's too late to change now,
>>503
Sadly this seems to be the paradigm on which modern tech companies design their software. Somehow obfuscation becomes "user friendly".
Anyone who has ever posted "nvm solved it myself, thanks :)" is a very bad person who I would not let share a meal with me.
>>502
Other than historical purposes.

>>495
Because it's all about /pol/, all of it. As a gesture of good will, I was going to start a thread on wakaba's /soc/ only to find it was frozen due to spam. Since I didn't want to return here emtpy handed, I downloaded the unarchiver for OS X.
Females be stumblin' and fallin' a bit before regaining they composures
Strangely attracting.
I guess I'll never be an elven priestess. ._.
>>507
A good substitute for /soc/ is http://world2ch.org/board/ - it's even relatively active.
I can't tell if I'm tired or want to kill myself
>>513
I just hope BPS doesn't go through with moving all the old threads to the archive.
>>515
You think it's a bad idea?
Of course I wouldn't move all threads - just ones which might be over 2-3 years old or something.
Can we determine if a board is dead based off its velocity or acceleration?
I Really would like the text box fixed. I'd been too huge for years.
>>516
I mean the other boards it would work for, but on DQN only the closed threads are really inactive compared.
>>516
I mean the other boards it would work for, but on DQN only the closed threads are really inactive compared.
>>516
I think it would just encourage people to spam in threads that are at whatever line you set.
Maybe just remove the stupid ones.
I'm opposed to removing the old threads. There are so many great gems out there, just waiting to be bumped, like this: http://4-ch.net/dqn/kareha.pl/1213878405/l50
Hi, I'm Mr. Likes To Post In Threads.
I am posting here, because I like to post in threads.
That's why my name is Mr. Likes To Post In Threads.
When the Shirt Novel reaches its conclusion, I'm going to write it up in a fairly nice epub and PDF, with an alternate version preserving all its formatting artefacts.
My life is wonderful.
>>525
Will you do it in LaTeX (or similar)? This is the only way you can do it justice.
A cute girl that I haven't seen for a while texted me this morning saying "Hey I miss you!" Hm....
