"You're not interested in those clickbait channels? Okay, how about these other clickbait channels instead?"
>>814
I've paused the watch history after watching a couple videos that I like. This made the recommendations a lot better, though YouTube tries to lure me into some hydraulic press or ASMR videos sometimes.
>>817
What's worse is that I get the same rotation of clickbait channels. I wasn't interested in "The Royalty Family" or "Faze gaming" the last 6 times, and surprisingly I'm not interested this time around.
>>818
I've tried various forms of history manipulation and it hasn't helped. I'm getting things that aren't even tangentially related to my viewing history. I've never watched a single Minecraft or Among Us related video, yet I'm inundated with those once a week. Same with these bizarre rich family vlogs. Who watches these things? Why do the have millions of views?
I wouldn't be so worked up if I wasn't getting legitimately useful and entertaining recommendations before the avalanche of shit started. Some of my favorite were through recommendations.
I am convinced Youtube cant give good recommendations because its more often than not chewing gum for your eyes
Family vloggers feel very dystopian, more than the regular social media dystopian vibe. Like there's a generation of kids who are living vicariously through youtube because their family is nonexistant or weak.
>>818
All of my recommendations are literally just music I listened to a few times because anything else YouTube tries to recommend me is generally going to be terrible. As a result my recommended section is completely worthless.
Never in my life have I relied on youtube suggestions. If I like a video or a music tune I just check the uploader's channel for more.
i fucking want to kill ironic weebs
I used to use youtube for music at work (with Brave Browser, so skipping those adverts). I would first add some albums I was curious about to to my "Watch Later" playlist.
I set up a shortcut on my touchbar to skip to the next youtube video without tabbing (very handy).
Whenever I heard a song I liked, I would tab out and add it to my favourites, then add every song in the "related videos" view to my "Watch Later".
This meant I had an exponentially growing list of somewhat intelligently curated music.
This worked really well (so much so I'm surprised I don't hear of more people doing it) except for a few fatal flaws:
Naturally, this means I lost my curated favourites and the 10-20k watch later playlist...
Not a big deal since I usually buy music I like so I can listen in higher quality, but it was great for ambience when working and surprisingly effective at finding new music I liked. Thanks for reading, dokyun!
Most of my YT recommendations are paleontology or astronomy related. Occasionally some alt-right horseshit will pop up (probably thanks to watching Distrotube now and then or something) but otherwise I can't complain.
developing parasocial relationships with all my servers
Half a decade later and I still don't know what is the Midnight In A Perfect World of trap
My recommendations are pretty good! Stuff about Ludwig Wittgenstein, Harry Hill, Usada Pekora, Quentin Crisp, Jim Cornette and Morrissey. Now that's a dinner party! With denpa and grime on the gramophone
I feel like I always wake up so sweatily

Wittgenstein would 100% be a Vtuber if he was alive in the current era. And then get cancelled over his abuse of minors
Liberals would believe Pizzagate if you emphasized that the elite pedos were WHITE and the child victims were BLACK. Which, to be honest, is probably broadly the case anyway.
that was meant for the "someone else's comment" thread, serves me right for not hitting f5 before posting
sure it was
Not just kiddy diddling, but also miscegenation? That does it, the conspiracy must be stopped at any cost.

how many videos did this dorky little girl make anyway?
I'm a stupid fucking idiot.
>>561 thinking about this post a lot and I it feels like something I used to know but forgot. Thanks.
Watching vtubers feels so dystopian for some reason.

I disagree, the shittiest art is clearly painting. Architecture, pottery, music, literature, poetry, all arts are superior to painting. Painting is the least intellectually stimulating art, suitable only for decorating walls. All attempts to make painting intellectually stimulating and worth more than cheap ornament are pretentious and only produce ugly garbage. Painting in any form can never express the complexity of emotion or the sophisticated patterns of music. Painting can never construct elaborate spaces and structures the way architecture can. Painting can never tell a story as complex as a book. Painting can never represent the human figure in as glorious a manner as sculpture. There is no conceivable way to make painting a non-shit art, it should be seen only as a practical craft for filling space in great architectural works, or for illustrating great literature. Only there can painting acquire any meaning, in the context of something external to itself. Other arts possess a life internal to themselves, painting can only look outwards.
might as well have fun before the end of the world

it's not like it's a secret, ed buck's trial and conviction for running a drug den after the bodies of two young black male prostitutes were discovered in his apartment is well known, but it wasn't more visible partly because we're in no shortage of weird sexual scandals involving prominent politicians, and because trump was utterly dominating the news cycle back then. to some degree, we already operate on the assumption that politicians (and rich people) are all deranged sociopaths involved in strange sexual cults that are yet to be discovered, a thousand nxivms right under our noses, but enough about politics.
>On January 7, 2019, another African-American man, 55-year-old Timothy Michael Dean (a part-time adult film actor known professionally as Hole Hunter[18][19]), died at Buck's home.

onlyfans without having to be pretty on the outside
anonymized fame hasn't eliminated the stalking problem
I'm far from having a cons-only analysis on this, of course; there are plenty of pros especially for anyone who wants to be known for talents but doesn't want face exposed. But there is an inherent dystopianness in not wanting your face exposed.
Mistakes are what makes us human, which is why discarded unborn fetuses are the most human out of us all.
>>846 I like paintings by Hieronymus Bosch, René Magritte, Mark Rothko and Roy Lichtenstein, what do you think of their paintings?
>>845 I know what you mean, while there's a couple I like, the whole concept is kind of disgusting but fascinating... seeing how people interact with them makes me laugh but also a bit sick...
Two dimensional girlfriends and boyfriends as cryptocurrency is a dystopia I wouldn't mind participating in

For some reason I thought some vtubers had separate people for controlling the model and the voice, but this doesn't seem to be the case at all. I wonder where I got that weird idea?
I binge watched the entire season 1 of Russian Doll last night, it was real good
"theres a reason that statues of perseus show the time he held aloft the head of medusa in triumph and not the time he busted a blood vessel in his eye taking a fat shit"
i want one of those "in this house we believe science is real, black lives matter, etc etc"signs with each line in a different color of the rainbow except mine will say "science is fake, black lives don't matter, women are property etc etc"
vc: der edge
>>876
split the difference and keep black lives matter but replace science is real with wernher von braun
>>876
Reminds me of when I saw one of those and decided to read the whole thing since I was walking by. It was the standard set of slogans, but the last line was something about the Wu-Tang Clan.
Nigger nipples
I wish I could go back in time, but just hop around until I find a period I want to live in.
scouring binky memes with very little views has actually helped me discover some interesting music
>>881 Oh man same I LOVE periods. I bet someone's menstruating right now!
>>876
The worst one I've seen was a podcaster/journalist/whatever who just had a piece of paper with handwriting taped to the wall, man if you're gonna be exposing your office to the public at least get a nice sign. The guy probably has a homemade pop filter.
What does a homemade pop filter signify?
im a big fat boat

If I could have sex with a girl while she's on her period I would die happy and entirely fulfilled.

chiming in to say that i'm not sure if it's my thing but it would be interesting to try
>>886
i think >>885 is talking about a specific person in particular who pasted a black lives matter sign, but it was a crummy handwritten piece of paper, thus since that unknown person works with a mic (being either a podcaster or a journalist), he probably also uses crummy mic equipment to record himself.
woah, i had no idea DQN had vampires!
I am a vampire and
Mummies are so much hotter than v*mpires.

There's a bigger point to be made about tiktok, but it is iconic that the newest dance craze is "alone in your room"
I liked when the electric tape book flashing trend was popular on tiktok
