I'm usualy just a lurker around the board, but today i have a story... recently i been posting about long distance relationship because I really like this girl that lives in japan. but i live in australia so its really hard if i want to confess to her.. well this is how it all started...
Around 2005 April, i was picked on by some people at school because of my hobby, which is movie making. I'm really like a movie otaku, i love watching movies thats why my dream is to become a film director. most of the girls i knew, i told them about my hobby and they would all ne like "isn't that like really immature??" and later on wont ever talk to me.. it was around November when i was on a japanese pen pal website where i met the japanese girl, her name was Aya. we started emailing each other talking about school and life style ect. then i asked her if she used skype and she said she uses it so we added each other. we started talking in skype, (to those who doesn't know its like msn but you use microphone to talk). for the first time, i told her i'm into film making... she unlike the other girls was actualy intrested in it.. she asked me when can i show her my movie.
we talked almost everyday, mostly for 2 hours and we can always talk about anything like movies, anime, school, music ect.. then one night... we talked for 6 hours! i only had 2 hour sleep because i had to wake up for tennis lessons >"< we got more close after that. for christmas i bought her a bracelet and air mailed it to her, she liked it alot. one day i got her email but was really surprised... usualy at the end of the email she would just write "from Aya" but this time she wrote "Love from Aya". i had this feeling when i saw it. after that, i didn't hear from her for 2 weeks and then one night i got her email asking when can i talk to her... but after that... I've waited for a month and stil counting on... I emailed her before saying i have something to tell her because i planned to confess to her next time we talk.. but now i dont think i can do it because i reckon its highly likely i may get rejected since we are so far away ＿|￣|○" the feeling with this girl is different from all the other girls i liked. should i confess or not??

Don't do it, benson. Going to a formal will destroy you. You'l be there surrounded by dozens of other people, in a noisy, busy environment. That's no good for building a relationship with a girl. Don't you think going somewhere with just the two of you would be better?

Right. Pokemon's just been a worldwide phenomenon for 10 years now with no sign of slowing down. If he goes to the formal, what, exactly, will he have to show for it in 20 years? A ticket stub? With your Pikachu, you even have the option of evolving it along the way, adding a new realm of enjoyment and fun to your life. I don't see that kind of possibility when it comes to some school get-togeter.
If you have to go out with this girl, do as I said and get together on a one-on-one basis. It's like when you're trying to catch Safari Zone pokemon-- you can't just go in too strongly against them or they'll run away. You have to toss out some bait and slowly win them over. This is why I suggested finding something to do with just the two of them. Playing Pokemon over a link cable, or maybe just going out to get a late night bite to eat at Wendy's or McDonald's (but not Burger King or KFC, whatever you do). well.... i must say.... i think i blew it up last nite but then again not really....man...lyss is soo cuttee!~~ well this is what happened
i told 4 friends to come with me on that night cos i thought mayb i wont be so shy if i have some friends around to suppot. well we all got thier but apparently only members are allowed to play and my friends aint any members, that counter guy is such a bastard, we asked if we can just watch but his like "no u must be a member, its insurance blah blah blah" so my family friend (the girl who told lyss i like her) dragged lyss to meet me and i gave her the dvd. she looked really happy with it and kept on saying thank u. my friends kept on telling me to go in and play but i felt bad leaving them behind thier watching since i was the one who dragged them there. so i decided to go with my friends and we end up at his house.
yeahh i know i blew it up but lyss was pretty happy about the DVD plus i printed a cover on it.
well i was talking to her today and aplogized about last nite leaving with out a word and explained wat happened. she said it was fine (btw she gave me a anime dvd as well last nite and didn't give me the 2nd season soo...) then she said she said "btw how can i give u the rest of the dvd?" so i was like "hmm not sure", she said she was gonna give it to one of my friends at badminton but then i said "hm i'll be around the school area some time this week, mayb we can just meet somewhere and u can give it to me there" and she said "oh, ok! but tell me when not sure when i will be at home xD" soo i'm gonna meet her this week just the two of us.... my god!~ and i thought i stuffed it up last nite (which i did). well she said she had to go walk the dog so she said she will talk to me later cos going for a walk with her friend (dunnno if its a dog cos she suddenly said her grandmother left her dog at her house~~") well..... any suggestions for that meeting?!!!
its a date now i think..... cos we arranged to meet at the train station.... btw i accidently asked if she eva had a bf and apparently she hasn't.... she asked me why and i said just wondering, she went a little "....." but we're stil talking. i cannot stuff up on wednsday!

WOW! I just read the whole thread and I've seen a lot of improvement from you! You posted this thread cause you wanted to get to know Aya more and know it's cause you need help with Lyss! Man, I hope your life turns out great! Oh and do you still talk to Aya? Cause the reason she disappears is because of all the teast and studying they do! I have penpals in China, Korea, and Japan and they're doing it to! So how old Aya anyway? It would be nice to get to know another japanese person.

From a girl's perpective, finding out that a guy posts his love problems on the net is freaky. It gives the impression that you're ultra sensitive. Sure, alot of people do it, but know one really talks about it IRL.

well aya hasn't replied me for... 2 months now i think. i dont mind stil having contact with aya cos its good to stay good friends stil. Aya is 15 years old, turning 16 this year i think.

Speaking of Yu-Gi-Oh, I like making wind decks. It's a fairly underrepresented and undersupported element when you compare it with things like Dark or Water, but it has some very excellent monsters.
