I've never posted to usenet. I've never even logged in. Don't know how to use google groups either; never learned.

I remember those banner ads for usenet access that used to be all over the place ten years ago back when big public torrent sites were getting cracked down on. I haven't seen one of those ads in ages.

When I was a kid I always assumed when i was a grown up I'd get on usenet someday and say things like "rtfm" and participate in some lively flame wars. but now every year it seems less likely and I just wonder how much of a desert it is instead.
