ARPG = Diablo, PoE, etc. Isometric PoV, random loot with affixes, powerful PC, lots of monsters on screen at once, typically divided into acts with each act having its own quest hub.

Action RPG = Dark Souls, Witcher, Skyrim, etc. Game where the player attacks, blocks, casts spells, etc in real time vs enemies who do the same. Dodging and connecting attacks to enemies isn't determined by a dice roll but by player skill.

It's weird to think that the internet will likely become an option for the afterlife rather soon.
That sounds lame, but the choice between a guaranteed but sucky afterlife and a chance for multiple things to happen (or not) in eternity is tough

Electromagnetic waves travel infinitely in space, even some random TV broadcast from the 1960s is still traveling along in the universe waiting to be picked up.
Imagine if we get technology to pick up these signals in the incomprehensibly far future, and those guys get records of life as of now. Fucking imagine if someone doxxed me online or spread lies about me, that information spreads throughout the cosmos infinitely, forever. What if they find the lies and I'll never be able to send truth to them? My entire person will be remembered for the rest of time for something I'm not. Scratch that, even the activity of me normally is archived in waves never to be rubbed away, who knows how many deathly embarrassing facts about me are etched in space. What if, in the future, massive companies or hell just retards wanting to kill time start compiling every bit of information they can find about humanity in older eras? What if its not even just waves, what if they come to predict the movement of every single atom and therefore predict every atom's history, and start developing simulations of how they would organize themselves throughout time, atom-to-atom in exact detail. They would reconstruct every aspect of my fucking life, every time I fapped they could watch from every angle, every fucking movement of my brain they would have full understanding of, more understanding than I could ever hope to. I feel so fucking powerless against this, they will know every detail about my life and my inadequacies and failures, I will be documented in the most comprehensibly complete form to be mocked for the rest of time. Children will browse an exact atom-to-atom recreation of the world I think of as the entirety of existence, my entire life and therefore each of my failings permanently recorded and never to be eroded. Failure that I might not even understand or remember and failure that I wish desperately to be wiped clean will ALL exist forever and ever, documented in totality.

Whoever came up with the demented trend of transparent PC cases is a criminal to cable management.
I bought myself a new prebuilt PC (to save on GPU cost) a while back with one of those cases and changing anything is a mild inconvenience. All the cables are routed around back to the side that isn't glass and then zip tied together into one, impossible to follow mass.
In contrast, the last PC I owned (also a prebuilt, that time out of laziness) had a nice, non-glass case and all the wires were neatly followable. When you're not constrained to hiding all the wires around back to make the insides look "presentable" from the glass side you can actually group things together in a meaningful way.
I'd redo all the wiring but I simply am too lazy. Someone remind me 2000 days from now.

Prices may go down a bit by the end of the year to capitalize on the desperate people who have waited three years to update their PCs to accomodate for next-gen games, but they will never go back to normal unless some authority steps in. The only way to really improve /img/ would be a coordinated push to keep the few good threads on the front page at all times, or excessively hands-on moderation. Not sure if either of those would be too popular...

if good moderation is the one that deletes low effort content, then best moderation is one that removes 90% of people off the face of the planet. Fucking isn't that high effort activity.

I have to confess, my idea of "good cable management" is having thick ribbon cables labelled with sticky notes all over the place and absolutely zero grouping of things and definitely no zip ties.

I wish I had a cute imouto to shower with affection. Not even anything lewd, just somebody to devote my emotions to.
