Is there something like an "otome game for heterosexual men" out there? Like, a dating sim type game with only a handful of female love interest characters with fleshed out multi-dimensional personalities, where the focus is on dating, deepening bonds and building relationships, slice-of-life style interactions, cutesy romance, event collecting, and things like combat and plot are secondary?

A stylised erect penis, pointing directly
up, carved from black marble. From its tip
grows a lotus blossom shaped from polished
iridium. The blossom splays out like a radio
telescope, pointed at the sky and dully
reflects any available light. The surface of
the phallus is polished to a reflective sheen
and casts back wrinkled images, especially
of the radiating lotus petals above it, which
seem to wrap the thing in silver. Sex in
the presence of the phallus always results
in conception, always of genius children

Ah, I see, unironically you've described both the ren'ai and bishōjo tags without being too aware of the distinctions and universe of related tags, then. It sounded more like a (well deserved) swipe at uncultured swine who apply "dating sim" to all sorts of games that aren't or barely have the elements.
Probably one of the distinctions you're really getting at is the distinction between ren'ai simulation and ren'ai adventure. You are trying to express a bias for the simulation elements (which are something of a minority in the genre), without getting too deep in the weeds of an actual RPG or strategy game?
If you have already tried out giants like Tokimeki Memorial, I have no actual recommendations myself because I stopped being very interested in these a long time ago, like an "oh fuck how did I actually forget shit" long time ago. I can only pack you some search terms:
男性向け恋愛ゲーム (romance games for men) 美少女ゲーム (bishōjo game) ギャルゲー (gal game) シミュレーション (simulation) エロ (erotic) 成人向け (for adults) -- the last two aren't necessarily detractors, like Sengoku Rance is a pretty good game, but most of the garbage is just porn with excuses added and you're specifically asking for something more substantial

I appreciate the direction and also find it funny you (correctly) assume offhand that I can read Japanese, my first post was meant to contrast the type of game I'm looking for with the type of game I've actually found while searching, which is games with a huge cast of mostly one-dimensional female love interests where the main focus is sex and not romance. Sexual content is ok and also an obvious component to love/romance stories but I want a game I don't feel compelled to put down after I cum, you know?

Now I'm thinking of some text adventure game I played as a teenager and as with all such I tried seeing what would happen if you typed in dirty words. In this one it would at first just not respond to "piss" and "shit" at all, not even the usual "invalid command" type of response so I knew something was up. I found if you persistently typed them enough times the game would start saying "I don't need to, thank you." If you still kept persisting you would eventually get "You wet your pants, fool!" / "You have shit in your pants, fool!" (unless you removed the pants first, in which case it would just give something like "Ahhh, that felt good!")

No idea what the title was, I think you were like, stranded on an alien planet and trying to escape and there was a lake you could swim in and maybe a hostile robot. Mostly I just remember the swear responses though.

My recollection is that most other games I tried this in either just didn't have swears in their dictionary or generically told you off if you used them. Conrad Button's games would kill you / force quit the game if you swore though, as I recall.

I had this idea that if the state is going to legally obligate you to purchase a certain service or good (I mainly have in mind financial services like insurance, especially car or health insurance, but material goods like fire extinguishers and wheelchair ramps probably fit the bill too) then the state should provide an avenue to buy that thing directly from the government, while still allowing and even encouraging private companies to also sell it to drive competition. To be legally coerced by the state into buying a certain good or service from one of a handful of companies licensed to sell it by that same state feels like it goes against the idea of free enterprise, and this way also, rather than legislate minimum standards for them, the standards of the things being sold by the state would just become the de-facto minimum baseline standards for safety and acceptable levels of service.

I'm gonna grind the fucking shit out of every single thing there is to do in this game over the course of the next two to three weeks and then never touch it again as long as I live but still talk about it occasionally

I looked at my dental floss and the packaging says something along the following:

>Removes two times more plaque!*
>*compared to the leading brand DOF-0036

Well, I'm interested in what this "DOF-0036" is, so I Google it. And all I find is the same floss as the one I have.
I am no closer to knowing what they're actually comparing to and now I am upset.

Deadlands and Call of Cthulhu both have adventures on a train that are among their most notable offerings. There is also an extensive fan supplement to Castles & Crusades that has a "conversion" table including FF6 and I just think that's real neat.
I have never played a TTRPG and I never will be able to keep at one if I ever start due to my sleep disorder (unless solo counts... doesn't to me...). But I got like 25% of the way into a large-scale archive organizing effort before burning out earlier this year!

all men are mothercons, sex isn't about "penetrating" the woman but about being engulfed by her and returning to the womb, the "sex drive" isn't real it's all part of the male death drive
